People have already argued about the immortal me in the chat. There are tons of options: - A real underground laboratory where a lot of resources are invested in maintaining the youth and health of the original Amelia; - Cloning, a clone is raised to match the original in every way, prepared for 20-30 years, etc.; - As Revenant said, they secretly kidnap a similar girl, brainwash her, re-educate her, change her appearance, and voila; - Cyborg/robot/hologram/photoshop.
And another question was raised... Revenant, could more advanced genetic engineering than on Earth exist in Actaea? With so many dictators and corresponding scientific projects, I think we could have developed much further if we had dug deeper.
Why go through all this trouble for some woman? It seems like there's little benefit to those behind this policy. Instead, they're alienating other countries, and consequently, they might face repercussions soon, meaning they're digging their own grave.
