[-] Fixed a crash when right-clicking on a visited Academy. [ ] Changed the game's appearance at resolutions of ????x600 (brown bars on the sides in the style of Ubi-RoE-HD-edition). [+] Added UltraSaI + Bicubic SharperX2 and xBRZ + Bicubic SharperX2 filters for the 32-bit True (stretchable) Nx renderer. [ ] Minor changes.
Direct link (the update is installed manually, rollback is possible).
beta 2 -> beta 3 -> RC1 [-] Fixed a conflict between the new scrolls and HotA (crashes were possible when selling artifacts). [!] The core of the mod's file handling has been changed (significantly optimized). The mod now runs noticeably faster, even on my Windows 7 with SSD and Core i7 3610QM on a laptop (for example, when opening the scenario manager window). In Exagear (a program for playing the third game on Android), the known slowdowns should disappear. [!] By default, settings (tweaks) are now applied as for SoD for unknown mod versions of the game (in previous 3.8xx versions, they were applied as for WoG). [-] Fixed a bug in HD+: the chess timer did not stop during a battle with an opponent's garrison (/ mine guard) in a multiplayer game. [+] New multiplayer mode in HD+: the opponent fights for neutral monsters (+ guards of banks, conservatories, utopias, etc.) (in-game option PvP Neutral Combat). This works correctly only if both players are using 3.808 RC1. [+] Minor fixes and improvements. [+] HD3_Launcher.exe can now detect the version of Heroes and launch it correctly from the command line (e.g., "HD3_Launcher.exe Heroes3.exe" and "HD3_Launcher.exe h3era.exe"). Previously, the command line had to be only like this: "HD3_Launcher.exe _HD3_Data\Heroes3.exe <#sod>" and "HD3_Launcher.exe h3era.exe <#era>", respectively.
Added 2 hours 52 minutes ago HoMM3 HD 3.808 RC2
RC1 -> RC2 [-] Fixed a bug in HD3_Launcher.exe (it did not launch on Windows XP, 8, 8.1).
[+] Improved HD+ PvP mode: - Available for Hot Seat gameplay; - Supports any number of players; - The value of the PvP Neutral Combat option is saved.
[+] Optimized stretchable graphics modes: - The graphics engine is no longer reinitialized when switching between fullscreen and windowed mode, resulting in: improved stability and faster mode switching.
[!] For vertical resolutions less than 606, the standard darkening effect when transitioning between screens has been restored (however, transitions are faster in 32-bit True mode). This can be disabled with the tweak < UI.DarkTransitions > = 0. [ ] For vertical resolutions greater than 606, the darkening effect only occurs at the start/loading of a scenario (its absence was critical for Hot Seat gameplay and caused graphical glitches when transitioning from the loading screen to the map).
[!] The 32-bit True (stretchable) Nx mode has been replaced with 32-bit True (NX stretchable) GDI, which is slightly less performant but more stable.
[+] In the launcher, pressing [Enter] in the tweak search field now acts like pressing "Find Next" instead of starting the game. [+] An option "System Cursors" has been added to the graphics settings in the launcher (the tweak < Graphics.SystemCursors > has been moved).
[+] For the following (future) versions of the English and Ukrainian packs installed on The Shadow of Death, the main menu animation has been removed.
baratorch, with all due respect, why are you releasing new versions if the old ones aren't documented? I honestly tried to find the documentation on your website. When I couldn't find it there, I asked here, but I still haven't received an answer. I'll ask again: where can I find the documentation for the tweaks?
Let's just say I enjoy programming more than writing documentation, and the time I can dedicate to Heroes is limited, which explains everything.
I would like to create a detailed video guide for the HD version, add an interactive help section to the launcher, and communicate properly on Russian-language forums, via email, and on the HC forums regarding the mod. But, unfortunately, people know that I barely respond to emails anymore, and I can't process all the crash reports (and I receive at least one email per day), simply because I don't have the time. The information on the website is six months out of date, and the English description is only about one-fifth complete and also outdated. I haven't even had time to take screenshots with the new HD filters, even though I borrowed a 1920x1080 monitor from a friend for this purpose, and it ended up sitting unused for a month.
In short, I just don't have the time right now; I'm already barely managing to find time for the HD version. There's also the issue of multilingual support; everything needs to be written in English at a minimum, and that's very difficult for me. If someone could help, it would be great, but it seems no one needs it.

Tweaks are mainly needed by users of Era and other Wog-based games because in SoD and Hota, everything is either configured automatically as needed or accessible through the launcher's normal interface, with only rare and insignificant exceptions.
I will create a description of the tweaks. When? I don't know.
[+] Added support (automatic detection) for English SoD 3.0
[+] The tooltip for a visited university now lists the skills available there.
[ ] Changed the game's appearance at resolutions of ????x600 (brown bars on the sides).
[-] Fixed a conflict between new scrolls and HotA (crashes were possible when selling artifacts).
[!] Changed (significantly optimized) the mod's file handling core. The mod's performance is noticeably faster, even on Windows 7 with an SSD and a Core i7 3610QM in a laptop (for example, when opening the scenario manager window), and as a result, the known slowdowns in Exagear (a program for playing the third game on Android) are gone.
[!] By default, settings (tweaks) are now applied as for SoD for unknown mod versions of the game (in previous 3.8xx versions, they were applied as for WoG).
[-] Fixed a bug in HD+: the chess timer did not stop during a battle with an opponent's garrison (/ mine guard) in a network game.
[+] New multiplayer mode in HD+: opponents fight for neutral monsters (+ bank guards, conservatories, utopias, ...). This is an in-game option called PvP Neutral Combat. It works correctly only if both players use 3.808. It works in both network games and HotSeat.
[+] In the launcher, pressing [Enter] in the tweak search field does not start the game, but acts the same as clicking "Find Next". [+] Added the "System Cursors" option to the graphics settings in the launcher (the < Graphics.SystemCursors > tweak has been moved). [+] HD3_Launcher.exe can now detect the game version and launch it correctly from the command line without additional keys.
[+] Optimized stretchable graphics modes: - Now, the graphics core is not reinitialized when switching between fullscreen mode and back, resulting in: + stability and + faster mode switching.
[!] For vertical resolutions less than 606, the standard darkening when transitioning between screens has been restored (however, transitions are faster in 32-bit True modes). It can be disabled with the tweak < UI.DarkTransitions > = 0. [ ] For vertical resolutions greater than 606, darkening is only present when starting/loading a scenario (the absence was critical when playing HotSeat and caused graphical glitches when transitioning from the loading screen to the map).
[+] For the following (future) versions of the English and Ukrainian packs installed on The Shadow of Death, the animation of the main menu has been removed. [+] Improved compatibility with Era (in particular, with the Battle Heroes mod).
[+] New image scaling filters have been added to the 32-bit True (stretchable) GDI graphics mode: UltraSaI and xBRZ, with several variations for each. These filters are demanding on processing speed and the number of processor cores. The < Graphics.Nx.Threads > tweak determines how many cores (logical processors) will be used for filtering.
[!] Online play with HD+ is only possible if all players use version 3.808 build 2 or higher (this was done to eliminate glitches between versions with and without PvP Neutral Combat).
[-] Bug: PvP Neutral Combat option is enabled automatically.
[-] Critical bug: Memory leak in 32-bit True graphics modes (when objects smoothly appear/disappear: picking up resources, moving through teleporters, etc.) could lead to depletion of available memory and crashes.
P.S. I forgot to update the updater, so it will offer to update to versions 3.809 beta 30, beta 40 - in reality, these are the final 3.808 versions, so feel free to update.
[+] The method of exiting to the main menu from the battle window has been replaced with a new, high-level one, which will definitely make the game more stable.
P.S. The updater has been updated, but it will not offer 3.809 beta 40 until next time.
[ ] Improved stability (when not using Scale2x, UltraSaI, and xBRZ graphics filters) [-] HD+: it was impossible to continue a network game with 3 or more human players with save protection enabled if one of them was defeated. [+] The patcher_x86.dll library has been updated to version 2.7, making HoMM3_HD fully compatible with DEP (Data Execution Prevention) [+] Extended information about the hero is now available in the new scenario selection window. [+] HD+ can now load protected saves that could not be loaded in previous versions because the game did not accept the correct passwords. [+] A button has been added to the "Information" tab in HD3_Launcher.exe, allowing you to install the latest version of HotA. [+] Danish language has been added to HD3_Launcher.exe. [ ] Minor changes
The new patcher_x86.dll makes HD fully compatible with DEP, but does not make HotA and HW_rules compatible. Corresponding fixes need to be released for them.
[+] In tactical battles, you can now select a creature to move by clicking on it. [+] When using the "Town Portal" spell without Earth Magic knowledge, the game will now ask for confirmation. [ ] Minor fixes.
Build 3.808 (11) -> 3.808 (12) (08/25/2015)
[+] Support for trimmed game repacks. [ ] The patcher_x86.dll library has been updated to version 2.8
Build 3.808 (10) -> 3.808 (11) (08/12/2015)
[-] Some bugs, including critical ones, have been fixed. [ ] The patcher_x86.dll library has been updated to version 2.7.1
[-] In online games with protected saves, it is now possible to start, even if one of the players exited the game. [!] The format of the random map name has been changed (player names are now in color order + date and time in the YYYYMMDDHHMM format). [+] Navigation through folders is now possible in the scenario manager (toggle = 1, disabled by default for Wog/Era, as it has not been tested). [ ] When folder navigation is enabled, sub-saves are saved in a separate folder with the scenario name. [ ] Minor changes.
[-] Fixed a number of critical bugs related to folders in the scenario manager. [-] The display of skills in the tooltip for a visited university now works correctly, and only when HD+ is enabled. [-] Minor fixes.
