Yesterday and today, I had an unpleasant conversation with a portal member. I'll describe the situation because it's bothering me, and it's better that I write about it than let him smear me with whatever filth he pleases just because he felt like it.
1. On Monday, as usual, I posted a request for a wager game. Someone named BillyBons responded. Our correspondence regarding the game is in (Screens 1-8). We started the game and played for 2 hours until turn 116. Suddenly, his girlfriend returned and demanded attention, saying it was midnight and time to sleep. I reached turn 116 and passed the turn. He began moving. I wrote that I had to go offline and left the game, as it's logical that he would be prompted to save on his turn (and later he writes that he was in a battle, which confirms my suspicions), and everything would be fine. We would continue from his save.
2. So, I went to sleep, woke up in the morning, and suddenly a flood of offline private messages hit me: (Screen 9) "if you play fair you should have told me to make a save! i'm sorry". Well, I thought okay, it happens—the guy got distracted and didn't save; we'll start from mine. But that wasn't the case. The lad thought that I had been crushed by some AI and decided to go offline (though I never do that).
3. So yesterday afternoon I wrote back to him about this, saying that since the turn was passed to you, you should have saved. It's your fault for not doing it before going about your business. (Screen 10). I came back hours later and wrote to him, but he wasn't there. I sat down to play with Hel, and then I left to play a tournament game scheduled for the evening with bubich. He pinged me once in the evening, then twice. I was in-game. He was desperate to finish the match. (Screens 11, 12). I told him that we would definitely finish it since I'm online often.
4. Then came the complaints that I supposedly didn't want to finish and a suggestion from him that I should surrender based on this fact, just so as not to waste time. I explained everything to him in plain terms (in screen 13) and he seemed to understand, albeit with great sarcasm, like I'm some kind of Caesar. At one in the morning, I wrote to him to finish the game, but he had already gone offline.
5. A new day for this long-suffering match (today). So I got up, brushed my teeth, ate, and with fresh strength, wrote to the lad again to finish the game: (Screen 14).
6. Then something strange started. The password was incorrect. I said that everything is fine with my password—enter yours. He also says it's fine and that the fault is on my end. (Screens 15, 16).
7. After creating the game for the 10th time, when the password was again incorrect, I gave him my password and told him to launch it in single player to check whose password was wrong. (Screen 17).
8. After that, I created the game again. In-game, I asked him once more to double-check the password—I said that I always use one password and there can't be an error. The game failed to launch again and even crashed, which is what I wrote to him. (Screen 18). After numerous attempts to start, I offered a draw in the chat (no screen, it wasn't in ICQ), just so we could part ways peacefully and not continue our mutual torture, although by that time I had scouted 6 hives, 2 Griffin Conservatory, 4 Naga banks along the road—in short, a very good distribution. He refused the draw.
9. After that, I'd finally had enough and asked for his password to check if it really was my fault or if the game was glitching. I opened single player, entered the passwords—it didn't start. I swapped the passwords—everything launched. Well, I thought some kind of lag in the game. For some reason, the game swapped the passwords and now I have to enter his, and he mine. A ridiculous idea, but it seemed logical to me then. I opened the chat, and here came another flood: "you are simply not honest DON'T WRITE TO ME I WILL TELL EVERYONE WHAT YOU ARE! FORGET MY ICQ YOU HAVE THE BLACK MARK!" (Screen 19).
I'll overlook the grammar, punctuation errors, and all that. I told him my thoughts and suggested we just swap passwords so we could continue the game. (screen 19).
10. We enter the passwords, launch the game. Everything launched. Only I don't recognize the position at all. And I don't remember playing this. I ask him in ICQ "what kind of game is this even"? He leaves the game and writes to me in ICQ: "i am tower". Well, then everything became clear. It turns out we mixed up the factions. He was playing Tower, and I was Citadel. I forgot about it since a couple of days had passed and I have a bunch of other games and things to do, and he never once mentioned that I was setting him as the wrong faction. Which is why I logically asked: "why didn't he say he was playing tower?" (Screen 20). No answer followed.
11. In two hours we finished the match. I won without a chance with 29 ducks, bears and other stuff on turn 126 or so. And then he writes to me that I tried to trick him into giving his password to see his layout, and also that I apparently lost on turn 116 to the AI, which dealt "irreparable damage" to me, which is why I left that evening. (Screens 21 and 22).
In short, according to him, I'm a noob and a cheater. The AI kills me on turn 116 without a chance, yet I cheat and don't surrender. After this, I beg for a draw. He says he will write that I am a cheater and let people figure it out. Terrible. Anyway, this was the final straw and led to everything written above.
Epilogue: I will not play with this schoolboy anymore, and I don't recommend others do either. You'll get a full load of crap. BillyBons, you don't need to send money for my phone, thanks, I'll manage without it.
P.S. I hope my post hasn't violated any forum rules.
