Yeah, and when you take the ice out of the bag and cook those shrimp... maybe about a hundred grams will be left.

Orphan...

Is this a yogurt? )

Yes, it’s a yogurt – a real yogurt.

Oh yeah, judging by the photos, the Turkish delight looks delicious.

found a local, Indian substitute for apricots!

It's called "wood apple," or "bael" locally. It's not as juicy as an apricot, but if you mix it with water, you get apricot juice that's almost identical.
It looks like a fruit with a woody rind that needs to be cracked like a nut. It's about the size of a coconut. The orange pulp tastes and smells very similar to an apricot.
In short: I still need to find a substitute for blueberries, and then I can live in this country :)

And I finally tried some ripe mangoes, papayas, and pineapples and understood why some people are so crazy about them. Yes, it's completely different from the green horror that's sold in Ukrainian supermarkets.

Have you moved to India or something? )

Looks like they were deported from Ukraine, hehe).

By the way, about mangoes, I sliced it, added kiwi, poured in kefir, and blended it all together. I've been sipping it all evening, and it's delicious...
I don't know how ripe yours are, but in my experience, mangoes taste best after they've been left to ripen for 2-3 days. Pineapple is probably the same, but it usually gets eaten sooner.

Have you moved to India completely? )

No, just for the season of white and mangoes ))
Actually, in a couple of months, the rainy season will start here, and there will be nothing to do, so I'm thinking about where to go next.

Yes, I always "let" pineapples ripen, but they don't ripen to that extent in Ukrainian regions, even after a week of "ripening."

In general, Indians know how to eat, so I can update this topic every day now. Despite the fact that most dishes are vegetarian (no meat, no eggs, but with dairy), it's quite tasty. The main thing in all the cafes/restaurants/"food trucks" is not to forget to warn "NO SPICE PLEASE!" Of course, it will still be with spices, but at least it will be edible :)

Here's another local dish that I've become addicted to. It's not even a dish, but an ingredient in many dishes - paneer - bland (even without salt) cheese, similar to our "Zdravye," but not fatty at all. Yum! I can't seem to get enough of it ))

Apparently, they deported you from Ukraine, hehe)

I was "exported" from Ukraine

And now I've reached the Eastern sweets.

Mishti doi
It is considered one of the best sweet dishes in eastern India. It tastes like sweet yogurt, which it is. I confirm, it's one of the most delicious local dishes )

Jalebi
I don't like dough (even such a peculiar one) fried in oil, so I didn't appreciate it. But I laughed at the local saying "Straight as a jalebi." I suspect this is the equivalent of our "The East is a delicate matter")

Freshly squeezed reed juice!
10 rubles per cup.
They don't use a standard juicer; instead, they use this local contraption.
