Greetings everyone. Since I have been asked frequently lately, I've decided to post more detailed information regarding the pricing for CIS 2015 for those who want to go, have decided to go, or are still considering it.

So, here is the minimum cost calculation for one true Heroes fan for 7 days (based on two people in one standard room):
1. Room fund: 3 days (weekdays) at 1 000 + 3 days (weekends) at 1250 + 1 day free = 6750
2. Festive banquet: 2300
3. Conference hall fee (based on 40 people) = 25000\40 x 7 days= 4375,

Total: 13425 rubles for seven days of stay. ( 1917 per day)
For this amount, you receive accommodation, breakfast (buffet), a gorgeous festive banquet, free use (1 hour per day) of the sports complex with a pool, sauna, hammam, etc., and naturally, 24-hour use of the conference hall, free access to the football and volleyball fields, free karaoke, etc.).

The conference hall fee, as well as the entry fee, are not charged for women and children.

Meals: As mentioned above, breakfast (buffet) is included in the cost of stay. Here is what it consists of:

Optionally, you can choose a full meal plan, which includes lunch and dinner (in addition to breakfast); the cost is 400 rubles for lunch and 350 for dinner.
To repeat, ordering full meals is welcome but NOT MANDATORY, so decide on your meals at your own discretion.
The food is of a sufficiently high standard, consisting of seven menu options (i.e., it will be different every day); vegetarian options are also available.

Also, for comparison, I want to present a comparative analysis of the cost of stay, meals, etc. between CIS 2014, which was held in Minsk, and CIS 2015 Volgograd (cost indicated per day)



On average, a day's stay in Minsk with meals, prize pool contribution, and hall fee cost 2216 rubles

In Volgograd, a day's stay for a true Heroes fan, including full meal plan and festive banquet, without the prize pool contribution (as it has not been determined yet) and with the hall fee, will cost 2667 rubles. This amount can be reduced if you, for example, opt out of the full meal plan or order only part of it, such as lunch or dinner.

But it should be noted that for this money we also get a gorgeous banquet and free use (1 hour per day) of the sports complex with a pool, sauna, hammam, hydromassage baths, etc. (the cost for regular visitors is 250 rubles per hour), as well as a very high level of service and relaxation, which is objectively higher in class than what was in Minsk (although I personally had a great time in Minsk)…
Near the base is the final stop of a route taxi (fare 15 rubles), which can take you to the village (5-10 minutes), where there are plenty of various cafes, mini-markets, and chain stores (like Magnit, Pyaterochka, etc.) where you can organize your own meals.

Tournament rules are currently under development; Dirty_Player has been appointed as the head judge, and Kobra as the assistant head judge. The development of the Rules and Regulations has been completely entrusted to them!!! We look forward to seeing everyone in the hero city of Volgograd; here you will be able not only to participate in the tournament but also to have a high-quality and full vacation!!!

The biggest problem is finding a decent place. Either it's too expensive or too far from the center – you can't go for a walk around St. Petersburg, either at night or during the day.

The topic is about the club you had on Nevsky Prospekt. It was a great club. At the very least, the metro didn't close, so some people were playing, and others were walking around Nevsky Prospekt at night.

No, there are no more clubs on Nevsky Prospekt anymore :) And not just on Nevsky Prospekt, there aren't any at all anymore :)
The problem is with the bases – either they are far away or expensive, plus you definitely need a large conference room and good internet, but I have a couple of options in mind.
Horn hasn't been active on the forums since June; I found his ICQ, and I'll try to contact him and ask if he'll be doing this.

I won't create a separate thread for now; I'll just write it here. As an alternative to St. Petersburg, I propose the city of Volgograd. I didn't expect that the selection process would start as early as September 15th, so I'm not particularly prepared for a major role, but as a mini-announcement, I'll mention a few advantages of this candidate:
1) A city with the honorary title "Hero City" and a rich history.
2) Convenient geographical location (relative to the Heroes world).
3) The mighty Volga River.
4) The presence of recreation areas directly within the city limits.
5) A wide range of cultural attractions.
6) Relatively low prices for entertainment and services (definitely not like St. Petersburg).
7) Vlk lives nearby and a substantial prize pool will surely attract him into the friendly embrace of the Heroes community.
8) And, one of the most important things... it's the weather... the temperature will be around 30+ degrees Celsius during those days... I don't remember any cold or boring rainy weather specifically during these May days...
The organizers of the tournament will be myself and my best friend, Alexxl (Alexander Kulakov). Preds recently visited us with his friends and saw everything with his own eyes. If you entrust us with organizing this grand event, we won't let you down; we will put in all our efforts and resources.

I won't argue, and if people vote for Volgograd, I'll go to Volgograd, but I think St. Petersburg looks more interesting, and the "Heroes" community is more represented here. I'll modestly refrain from commenting on the cultural aspect.

Both are good options, but Peter might severely limit some players in terms of resources, in my opinion.

In terms of cultural attractions, St. Petersburg can give anyone a 100-point head start. But it's unlikely that people will rush to museums, Peterhof, etc. during the tournament. The weather in St. Petersburg at this time is unpredictable, while in Volgograd, 99% of the time, beaches, volleyball and football will be available, and you can have barbecues in the evenings without fur coats and felt boots, etc.
P.S. Although I shouldn't have mentioned felt boots, I hope Monsieur Valenok can find time for the event.

Bert will provide more details on prices, but I can say that during our visit, we stayed at a very decent tourist center, and renting a cottage for 6 people with breakfast included in the restaurant cost 7K per day.

Regarding travel costs: an extra-economy option is possible, using Muscovites' cars as taxis.

Quite the contrary, we are currently considering a couple of options for resorts where accommodation costs an average of 1,000 rubles per person per day, and meals can be paid for separately at 700 rubles per day. It's a bit more expensive, but this is still St. Petersburg, so I'll try to go there in the next few days, inspect everything, and talk to the management. Maybe I can negotiate a discount for a bulk booking :)
It's not far from the city, so an evening stroll along Nevsky Prospekt is definitely an option. In general, we'll be traveling around, looking, and exploring ;)

Personally, I would find it more interesting to be in Volgograd; I've already seen St. Petersburg about 50 times.

I won't list the advantages of one city over another; instead, I'll provide one fact based on common sense: the air temperature during the tournament over the past three years in Volgograd and St. Petersburg.

As can be seen from the data above, the weather differs significantly. Now, here's the question: what to do in ST. PETERSBURG AT A RESORT, WHEN THE DAYTIME TEMPERATURE IS 10-12 DEGREES AND THE NIGHTTIME TEMPERATURE IS 7 DEGREES?

In this case, a phrase from Siberians would be appropriate: "He came from Siberia, where it's cold all winter, to relax in a wonderful place, where it's cold BUT IN THE SUMMER!!!)))"

In my opinion, common sense should prevail. Why engage in masochism and torture yourself with your own money?)))

Volgograd in May is great. I remember how in St. Petersburg I froze in a winter jacket on the shore of the Gulf of Finland in May (even though the sun was shining).

I fully support Volgograd for several reasons:
1. The St. Petersburg team had enough time since May to provide at least some information by now, but there's still nothing.
2. For me, comparing Volgograd and St. Petersburg is like comparing Odessa in 2013 and Minsk in 2014. I'm not talking about the organization; I'm talking about the weather.
In this regard, St. Petersburg is clearly behind, at least for me.

Someone wrote (I think it was Romantic, as well as Nagan) that there are many "Heroes" players in St. Petersburg, but the examples of Michurinsk, Kyiv, and Minsk show that the "locals" are not particularly eager to participate in the tournament – at best, they will come to hang out for a day or two.
So, there's no point in focusing on that.
