Quite the contrary, we are currently considering a couple of options for resorts where accommodation costs an average of 1,000 rubles per person per day, and meals can be paid for separately at 700 rubles per day. It's a bit more expensive, but this is still St. Petersburg, so I'll try to go there in the next few days, inspect everything, and talk to the management. Maybe I can negotiate a discount for a bulk booking :)
It's not far from the city, so an evening stroll along Nevsky Prospekt is definitely an option. In general, we'll be traveling around, looking, and exploring ;)
