Well, if they allow radio, nothing will happen, but they'll definitely crack down on MP3s.
I doubt that radio will work. It only takes one copyrighted song playing for half an hour to get a stream muted.
You can find more details about this amazing new feature here - http://blog.twitch.tv/2014/08/3136/
Right now, everything is working extremely poorly; streams with music from the game being shown are getting banned. For example, someone is playing Portal 2, the in-game music is playing, and then, bam, they get muted. Perhaps something will change after tomorrow's AMA (something like a public interview) with Twitch's management. But it's not worth hoping for.
If you would like to include free-to-use music in your streams, there are many resources available to you, including:
The Foundation
Jamendo
SongFreedom
It's time to explore other resources: http://www.hitbox.tv/ http://www.ustream.tv/ and so on.
Actually, it's a good reason to switch to GG player; I've been thinking about it for a while, but my natural laziness kept me from doing it.
By the way, GG player has even more advantages now than Twitch; there's no delay, the ability to choose the quality, and other perks for streamers. The only problem is that it's not always stable, but Twitch isn't perfect either.
I'm switching to GG, in general.

So, I’m switching to GG. :)

Ustream isn’t really for games, at least it’s not their main focus.
Hitbox might turn out to be another disappointment in the future – it’s owned by the same person who owned Own3d.tv. On the other hand, there isn’t a “gaming” alternative for mass use yet.
Cybergame started well, but it’s developing as usual. There haven’t been any improvements to the system in over 3 months.
Yesterday, they quietly launched another service for streams – http://alpha.gaminglive.tv/
It’s extremely raw at the moment, but it might appeal to some.
In general, it all comes down to where you can place the player for your stream for viewers. H3tv hasn’t been updated in a long time, SK2TV is a cesspool (kisses to all the fans of this portal), and GoodGame is actively promoting its own player and doesn’t really care about streams on other platforms.

So, where can I watch streams now? Please tell me.
So, does this mean that all the previously saved VODs from Twitch will be deleted? That's a complete mess... I tried exporting to YouTube, and there's a problem there too - after uploading, YouTube automatically deletes videos as being too long... Is it really necessary to manually download all the VODs and re-upload them? If so, then it's the end for the videos on my channel; I simply won't have time to download everything... And there's also Amilu and Romario; they probably don't have time for it right now. Maybe someone with a fast internet connection will save the Heroes VODs and re-upload them to torrents?
