The 2nd tournament has come to an end.
Bishop, the 3rd tournament will definitely happen :)
Unfortunately, real life took me away from my planned schedule, so we are summarizing the results with a slight delay...
The duration of the tournament, excluding registration for it, was almost
9 months, and
271 games were played.
During the tournament, there were many different events, and we all successfully overcame them. The group stage was very competitive until the last games, and its results had some surprises, which added excitement.
In terms of gameplay, the team
Siberian Sloths caused the most problems. That's not how you should play. All players caused a lot of trouble. But while
Redsnow and
Dimast managed to complete their games, albeit reluctantly,
ВА/|ЕНОК only completed 3 out of 10 games, managing to start all of them.
Even more notorious "game dodgers" turned out to be
Pent and
Frol off. Interestingly, both were selected during the draw :D. They simply ignored the tournament without explanation or response on ICQ, although I saw them online repeatedly, wrote to them, but they didn't respond. Not a great approach; perhaps they could be added to some kind of list...
We can also send
Juristis there; unfortunately, one is already getting used to his inadequacy, and that's sad. He doesn't take into account the impunity for all his actions in many tournaments and the all-forgiving attitude towards him, instead behaving ungratefully. He withdrew from this tournament, previous tournaments, and continues to drop out of upcoming ones. And he's quite rude too.
I recommend that tournament organizers reject applications from this player. He has way too many issues.
The story with
ColdRain was also memorable in a negative way. Everyone has their own opinion, and I hope that each side will learn something from this experience.
Against the backdrop of the criticism outlined above, there is much more positivity, which is pleasing:smile01:.
For any tournament, and therefore for the organizer, the most important thing is timely completion of games, and for this, players need frequent online presence, activity during game negotiations, and
most importantly -
independent communication with organizers and judges in case of any problems!. Let's focus on this now :)
All 10 group stage games were completed very quickly by
Iamsamstan,
Akella,
злой_романтик, and
Simon5760. Guys, keep it up in other tournaments :smile20:, such high activity in games is sure to be a balm to any organizer's soul. Other players were also active, but their activity was sometimes hindered by less active participants or some incidental details, and generally, there were no problems with them regarding games; perhaps just some minor issues. These include
HellLight,
marajan,
Dirty_Player,
.DiGGeR.,
Maretti,
wariator,
darkello,
twaryna,
Grizvald, and
akaWard3n, as well as many others who showed consistent performance without delays.
The tournament itself is based on such a stable base of players because they really take all the rules, deadlines, etc., seriously.
The discovery of the tournament for me was
marajan (despite being in the 3rd tier); he still won all his games in the tournament, 11 out of 11, even though his previous game level was clearly lower, and he remained the only player who won all his games. This is a very good indicator; if he had reached the final, he would definitely have received the MVP award:smile02:.
Also,
Grizvald and
Diabler had very high win rates.
During my time as an organizer, I've developed a clear understanding that it involves a lot of problems, various hassles, pointless arguments, meaningful discussions, misunderstandings. But perhaps these challenges are also what attract me. Thanks to this, I feel much more respect for people who
independently (without reminders and promptly) report all their difficulties in the game with opponents, inform them about their current state of affairs, carefully read and follow the tournament rules, and generally keep everyone informed, while also monitoring their teams, etc., because these participants save a huge amount of time (which is wasted on others), thereby showing human respect, and you deserve respect too. There aren't many such players, but there aren't few either. I won't list anyone so as not to forget someone.
I would like to address everyone: Promote such a culture of participation, not only for yourself but also for others. Also, write to your opponent FIRST, write several times, never wait for anyone, and then you will definitely be closer to the truth!
I give credit to the finalists - the team "
Чистая ничья" (
twaryna,
Grizwald,
akaWard3n). You played well; thank you guys, but today, others were stronger.
Drumroll
"Plan B":smile49:
- BISHOP
- Lim4
- Diabler
You have undoubtedly succeeded in creating a real team, and everything has come together as they say. In the group stage, you scored
an unbeatable 27 points out of 30 possible, even though
Lim4 was placed in a very difficult group where she faced many experienced players who know their stuff and have been on the forum for a long time and have very good results. But here, like true men,
BISHOP and
Diabler took on the burden.
Diabler achieved almost maximum wins, while
BISHOP achieved an equally magnificent result in the "group of death," with 7 wins out of 9, confirming the validity of his victories in the final games against
twaryna.
I sincerely congratulate all of you on your victory!
The most valuable player of the tournament is:
BISHOP
In addition to excellent play, he demonstrated very valuable qualities as a captain. Timely requests for clarification, caring attitude towards the results and problems of his players, and correct communication are proof of that! Congratulations!
You can use the MVP award in your signature (a reduced version of the MVP badge for inserting into the signature is available; if you need it, feel free to ask).
Thank you everyone for participating!
A special thank you to the judges for all their help!
We're closing down :)
