Heroes of Might and Magic IV is...
(drawbacks)
-army moves without a hero
-no unit upgrades
-low income
What’s wrong with the ability to move an army without a hero? At least you can effectively reinforce it. And the income is low because there are no upgrades:smile02: (IMHO, of course)...
But overall, yes, especially the potions are annoying:smile04:! You might as well throw them away!
Well, I don't know... Throughout the game, I had the feeling that something was missing... And the map editor is just so-so...

So, first try playing with it, and then decide!!!

I don't really like them... This game doesn't deserve to be part of the Heroes series...
Personally, I quite like it. Although, of course, it has its drawbacks (which I've already described here).
The best of the Heroes games is the fourth one!!! It's simply wonderful, a fantastic game with so many possibilities, fighting with the hero himself, amazing spells, and overall, a super game. I know that almost everyone hates it (after its release, almost everyone went back to the third game, and only a few started playing it), but I can't understand why. What's so bad about it? It's five times better than the fifth one. If, instead of the fifth game, they had released a fifth game that was exactly like the fourth, but with improved graphics, new factions, and other additions, I would be on cloud nine!!!:smile23:
However, I really like the music in the game (especially the musical accompaniment for the landscapes and castles).
They disrupted the integrity of the series. Personally, I wasn't ready for the fact that you could level up a Paladin to level 40 and single-handedly defeat hordes of black dragons.
And I think that many of you have repeatedly created many hero-less units and then got very tangled up in them.
Add to this the lack of upgrades (THIS IS AN OUTRAGE) and a poor castle development system...
although despite this, I still play them... A paradox, however.

They violated the integrity of the series. Personally, I wasn't ready for the fact that you could level up a paladin to level 40 and, ALONE, take down hordes of black dragons.
And I think that many of you have repeatedly spawned many hero-less units and then very valiantly got tangled up in them.

And the fact that an army can go without a hero is more realistic than every warrior needing the protection of a general. Soldiers can move around the map in a squad, killing neutrals, collecting resources, scouting the territory, etc. Squads are not spawned just for fun, but with a purpose. Why tear soldiers away from the army just to find out what's what?
Upgrades in the 3rd game made my head spin because they cost a lot of money. If you are fighting against a castle of the same type, it's no longer interesting. And against others too, because you know what units they have. But in the 4th game, there is variety. If you play against a castle of the same type in the 4th game, you won't guess which path the player has chosen. There is interest, and you can no longer play so confidently. Tactics, in a word. In general, I could say a lot more, but I have already stated the most important thing.:)
Sincerely, Pandora. Heroes
