cross me off the list, I won't be going. 13 people said they would be at the SOD, 11 said they would be at the VT. The minority won :)
No, it looks like the vacation in Crimea won after all) P.S. Lizard, cross VT off the list and keep SOD, since Captain and Darkello won't be going, only TRUE-VT :D
Look at that. Just like in 2010, when the minority voting for Kyiv won...
Anyway, the situation is as follows. VT: Lizard, Mee, Cobra, Napalm, Vodik, Sup, Vex SoD: Zloy romantik, Defiantt, Player, Mizrael, Dirty, Scorp, Wbn, Griswald, Hellight, Captain, Amilu. Vt/SoD/Vt under SoD: Valenok, Browser, Peterius, Merlin, Bloodliker, Stinger, Preds. 7 VT players, 11 SoD players, 7 generalists (including two CIS Champions). Pure SoD players are less than 50%. Pure VT players are less than 50%. What other compromise options are there besides VT under SoD? By the way, not a single VT player would cancel their trip because of the wrong version (perhaps some wouldn't play, but they would still come). I suggest granting Cap (and any other person who wants it), as in Odessa, "Scorpion rights": so that people play with him on whichever version he chooses. I am ready to play the first round with Cap in SoD myself.

Merlin, do you believe that Cap saw the version only on April 1st?
Lizard said - "VT, there were no polls," don't upset yourself - they said VT means VT - people no longer have hope:smile16: :D
I'm ready to play VT in the first round against any PRO VT player(s) - this suits us perfectly(s)
It feels like some people, despite their vast experience, don't understand the essence of the phrase "default version." For that matter, I would also have no problem playing SoD with Captain. And we could even draw lots taking versions into account. As a rule, those who are capable of playing and winning on any version are the ones who make it to the later tours. So, Merlin and Redwhite are absolutely right: saying "I won't go to CIS because they use VT" is complete absurdity. It's like saying "I won't go on vacation because my sofa isn't there."
Constantly editing the list because of those who are unreliable ("sometimes they come, sometimes they don't") is getting tiresome, so I won't be removing anyone else. If you sign up, you stay on the list. If you sign up and don't show up, you'll face the consequences, just like in AOTD.

It's like saying "I won't go on vacation because my sofa isn't there."I admit that I could have said such a thing, and more than that, I'll say it's not nonsense. Firstly, I have never played VT once!! Secondly, whether as a rule or not, if someone wants to play VT or SoD under VT with me—which, for example, I completely don't understand—their chances of victory will be 100% even if they play twice as poorly. So what's the point of "going skiing," as they say, if you know in advance that you'll break your legs :smile28:
So, what's the point of going skiing if you already know you're going to break your legs? :smile28:
Just stay home and play on your computer, it's easier :D
Added 3 minutes later But seriously, guys, we're not going there to compete in different versions; we're going to socialize. If someone is not very sociable, then don't go beyond your neighborhood or stay at home. A Heroes gathering is the best, and we'll have a great time!

And who is to blame for that? If he wanted to, he would have played. He would have seen that in WoG, under SoD, there are differences in the balance of magic and cities, the absence of a situation where you end up at a dead end on a one-way road, the removal of unused objects and their replacement with useful ones, and so on. These differences, however, allow the game to be called Heroes of Might and Magic 3, since the basic principles of the game remain the same. But you're not going to even try, are you? I used to be the same. darkello

And what's the point of leaving the house if you're going to die anyway? In 2010, I went with the serious intention of playing in a tournament. Upon arrival, it became clear that this intention was wrong. The main thing in CIS Tournaments is that people who have something in common come together. And that something is Heroes 3. And I don't care what the current version is. I go for the sake of those with whom it is interesting. And we always find a way to have fun and spend time together in a positive way. Those who want to will play Heroes. Those who want to will play Fish. Those who want to will simply communicate with those who have something on their mind besides the elementary physical. P.S. What's the point of going to a wedding if you know that the wedding is not yours and there will be no sex!

darkelloI admit that I could have put it that way, and furthermore, I'll say that it's not nonsense. Firstly, I've never played VT once!! What's with all this whining? If you don't want to go, then say you have no time / money / or something else, but people, stop talking nonsense about the version, that you haven't played VT, don't like it, etc. etc.
Check out the thread about Odessa; you'll find plenty of proof there that you are wrong. If you come, no one is going to force you to play VT in the first round at least. And after that, everything depends on you. And there's still a whole month left—don't be lazy, read the manual, play a few fan maps so you know that it's nothing scary. And if you play a couple of games in VT, even though you supposedly don't like it, they won't carry you away in an ambulance and you won't feel sick from it.
And in the end, because you're blubbering here about the version, those who do come certainly won't be any worse off, so stay home and drool while watching the main event of 2014 for our community.
Another wave of heated arguments is coming. By the way, I would advise the organizers to somehow neutralize discussions on political topics during the event to avoid them.
