I played through the game from start to finish 5 times. Game version 1.4. I followed all the steps according to your walkthrough. I captured everything, freed everyone, but the following tasks still don't have a checkmark: - Protect Cyris Tallar - Prepare the garrison. What could be the problem?

I'm new to the game, but can you explain how you manage to save your dragons when Fardane captures the capital at the beginning? If I try to protect the dragons, almost nothing is left of the army, and I especially regret losing the archers and druids. If I send them into the attack, the dragons are killed, but the army remains more or less intact, but I can't split it to send another hero to the other side. Then I can't hold the capital. As a result, I have to stay in the capital and build up my army.

And again, there's a problem with completing the mission (I played with cheats, killed everyone and freed them, but the mission doesn't end). I want to play it fairly, otherwise my conscience bothers me.

I don't even know what to suggest... I played through the mission three times with different patches (starting with 1.1) and didn't encounter any bugs or glitches... All the scripts worked...
As for the walkthrough, if you really don't have enough troops, try lowering the difficulty... Although, it's possible that your hero's build isn't optimal... I had one build with resurrection and all the mass spells, and another with summoning, phoenix, and celestial shield, and both of these skill sets played a crucial role in completing the mission...

You NEED to develop Light Magic, and most likely your hero isn't developed very well. In general, by the end of the campaign, Faidaen becomes very powerful (there are quite a few upgrade options), and you can fully max out all branches. Try developing Light Magic and Luck from the start. If offered, choose Attack or Education; Defense will also be useful. With this approach, Logistics won't fit, but it's not needed if you'

By the way, you can learn it (not just pick up a scroll, but actually learn it!) already in the first mission. To do this, develop Light Magic (if you take other magic, don't develop it yet), and when it reaches the highest level, take the Mage Guild next to the mill, south of the castle. I immediately got Resurrection, and the rest of the walkthrough was so easy that I'm really surprised that this campaign is considered the most difficult. :smile36:

The same story. The army is huge, both in the castle and with F., two heroes have been rescued and are already fully leveled up. The purple hero appears once every 1-1.5 weeks, doesn't do much damage to the garrison, but the mission doesn't end, and the tasks supposedly haven't been completed. I tried hiring a hero in the Necropolis castle, but there was no reaction. I was about to use a save file, but then I decided to hire another hero in the second Ranger town... and, lo and behold! the messages started appearing, and F. moved on. I don't remember anymore if I hired a hero in that town at the very beginning... probably not.

I completely replayed it and made all the necessary changes. All enemies are defeated. All units are freed and located near the castle. However, the checkbox to prepare the garrison cannot be selected. A hundred years have passed, and the purple unit is still running around!!
