And why is that? So it would be easier to peek at the map?
If the artifacts are generated anew each time, it's easy to guess what a player receiving 3 unnecessary relics in Utopia will try to do.
New here? I'm Roha — want a quick tour?
Implement an HD option for automatic saving before and after each battle. This would also speed up the replay of turns in case of a disconnect.
Moreover, saves during a turn should be made overwritable – so there is no desire to load a slightly earlier save.
Offline Tournaments are already held on standard HD, without HD+, as they aim for complete adherence to the SoD mechanics, and including all the bugs of SoD.
The only thing I see is that the "struggle" now is no longer with the "native" bugs of the game itself, but with the bugs of the mod. It's sad... :(
No one is stopping you from playing HD (without the plus) and getting the same SoD experience.
I've stopped following the mod's updates altogether.
Yeah, this is the perfect moment to say: that's precisely why, a year ago, I stopped updating the mod (I'm playing on version 3.07f, which already fixed the worst Hero-related bugs: AI freezes, hero "duplications," "graying out" of cities, etc.). Since then, the mod has been developing in a direction that I don't like, and primarily – separating all options that don't correspond to "pure" SoD into a separate group. Okay, the sulfur in naga-jars – everyone has gotten used to that, and it doesn't bother anyone. But who needs freezes or "miracles" of fast battles, as well as AI vs. AI battles? That is, it was a clear and significant step backward, but those who disagreed were told to go away, and the train continued to rush into "Wonderland." I stopped following the mod updates at all. I wonder, has anything else been implemented from what I asked for before: displaying 5-6 applied spells in battle, the number of remaining rounds of the spell's effect, displaying visited dwellings and mills when hovering the cursor over them? The only thing I see is that now the "struggle" is no longer with the "native" bugs of the game itself, but with the bugs of the mod. That's sad...

By the way, people here have already encountered the new version of the mod. They attacked giants, checked if they had Guard Shift, attacked again, received Guard Shift, and consequently, got beaten :D

[!] The method of obtaining the initial seed for the random number generator in battles has been changed. As a result, the placement of obstacles, the presence or absence of an improved stack, and the course of the battle (morale, luck, damage, etc.) will differ in the same battle compared to previous versions.
