The Last Ball of Autumn
Having gotten rid of one of the trespassers, the inhabitants of the Forest continued their dance. A cheerful noise filled the clearing.
Ment was enjoying fresh blackberries, and
Morning spent the whole night, but eventually succeeded and rode a fluffy gray rabbit.
Neo777 and
Alexeagle missed all the fun, but while the first managed to knock off the slippery ice crust around the nest by morning, the second stood helplessly, encased in a transparent, solid block.
RiMpel2 was sure that nothing would disturb the ball, and carelessly moved to the edge of the clearing, whirling in a dance of golden leaves. When he and the others noticed the threat, it was too late. A fiery red lightning bolt rushed towards the carefree dancer from somewhere above. In an instant, a flaming sword protruded from
RiMpel2's chest. Taking advantage of the confusion, the killer was able to fly away from the righteous wrath. The wind whistled under his wings, reminiscent of the rhythms of American rock, as he left the scene of the crime.
Eyewitnesses reported that shortly before
RiMpel2's death, he was talking to a mysterious stranger, and some even remembered their dialogue.
- It would be interesting to know what color your name is written in the book of fate.
- I think it's purple.
- And how many fairies and dragons are in your company?
- I'm a loner.
- Do you know this mighty oak, the oldest in our forest?
- No.
- What is your name?
- Armstrong.
