Born and lived in Novosibirsk until I was 11, and I always wanted to return, but year after year, this desire faded due to personal matters and being busy. Could it be that there's an additional incentive now!? I'd like to know approximately where this gathering will take place, because if I do come, I'll try to walk around the places from my childhood and meet former acquaintances from school and the neighborhood. Most likely, if I manage to come, I'll arrive either 5 days before the tournament starts or stay a few days after, so if possible, please let me know where it's best to stay, what hotels are available, etc. I used to live on Spartak Street, building 14 (I think), near school number 12. Maybe someone from that area is here? Or maybe we even know each other? :).

Apparently, it's Spartak Street, building 16, since there's no building 14 there. And school number 12 is across the street. This is the very center of Novosibirsk :)
And in general, you're welcome. We'll meet you, show you around, and tell you everything. I can't promise a hotel, but I can definitely find a short-term apartment :)

The venue for the event is still undecided, as it depends on the number of people. I think we'll decide this week (at the latest, next week).

Besides the main player from Novokuznetsk, there will be a couple more players with bankrolls who are ready to share them with everyone.

I have a desire (to give those Siberians a good beating) to visit this beautiful place. A round-trip flight via Moscow costs $550, which is quite reasonable. Will there definitely be a good time? I need to make a decision by the end of the week. I can drink vodka and move pieces on the board :)
