03.08.2013 The_ (red, Conflux, random, Tunara, Mephala) def Lem (blue, Fortress, Tazar) JC 131. game number 1 (The_ 1:0 Lem)
We picked all the rests (I really blundered by picking 112, hoping it would deal a better hand), but ended up with complete garbage, in fact: 4 Dragon Fly Hives for 22 Wyverns (all in such impassable terrain that it was a total disaster), a single Griffin Conservatory, a Water Elemental external dwelling... Phoenixes in the Citadel. Mephala at level 5 hits 124 General, no Oil, no nothing really, Logistics, Offense, Leadership, also no stat-boosting items. I somehow won against the General thanks to Blind. Then I cleared the entire treasure zone from start to finish (not counting the truly impassable parts), the result: 1 Dragon Fly Hive, a +4 All shield, and two Dragon Fly Hives spotted near the enemy General. Lucky that his hand wasn't any better than mine, and the General took heavy losses, so I should win.

We chose all restarts (I was very dull to pick 112, hoping it would generate better), in the end full garbage came in, in reality: 4 Dragon Fly Hives on 22 Wyverns (absolutely all of them on such impassable terrain that it's just a disaster), Griffin Conservatory single, external dwelling of water elementals... In the Citadel, phoenixes. Mephala level 5 hits GO on 124, without oil, without anything at all basically, logistics, offense, leadership, no items for stats either. I dragged the GO through using blind somehow. After that I ran through the entire treasure zone from start to finish (excluding the truly impassable parts), result: 1 Dragon Fly Hive, shield +4 all, and two Dragon Fly Hives revealed next to the opponent's GO. Lucky that his spawn was no better than mine, and the GO was heavily bitten, surrender follows.
Thanks for the game.
I confirm. Finally got good roads, revealed two external dwellings of hydras and two free pandoras. On 112 I took one of them (5000 experience), then on 113 I ventured into the hydra external dwelling, but failed a bit and had to run, leaving one hydra. In the end I took the external dwelling when my own hydra appeared. On 121 I took the double Griffin Conservatory, then with a scout hero shield +5 and cloak +2+2, and headed towards the Dragon Fly Hive, but forgot to account that angels don't roll through swamp, had to lose a turn. Then I grab the level 5 hat, decide not to take the second hydra external dwelling, and go to the center (there was also a explored Dragon Fly Hive, but quite far). On 125 I break the GO with griffins, spent all mana, lost a hydra. Next there was a block of cows and there were grizzly bears, guarding a pandora and an external dwelling of horses. For some reason I attacked them and they kicked me (didn't even have mana for haste). I replenish mana with Tazar, run to the treasure, use Dimension Door and capture the dungeon, build a portal there hoping for a hydra, but no luck (should have built a Mage Guild first, then a whirlpool, would have had 180 mana), the next day (131) in the portal again not what I wanted, I reinforce the army and attack the bears again... not only did I lose, but Tazar also died from morale. GG
Thanks for the game! And good luck in the playoffs.
It was just like that. I think I played the map well, which I can't say about the fights with the opponent. Well, numOne is numOne:cool: An interesting and difficult game. On the first week, Ramparts spawned at the Citadel. The respawn wasn't very convenient. From the prison I freed Calh with 15 Gogs and there were also 6 on Octavia - a decent stack right away)) I reached the Necromancy hero on the second week, since it was guarded by 50+ Lizard Warriors. I took two level-1 Griffin Conservatories. Kyrre has good stats: Attack, Tactics, Earth. On the third week I scouted Tazar, who had blocked the portal from the other side. With the Ring of Frost I killed two level-1 Dragonflies, one remained, and I attack with Kyrre. By stats: Kyrre 6 8 6 7(70), Tazar 15 10 5 4(40) We fight, I had Oil and Ice Bolt. He also had Oil. I buy back with 5 Dendroids, 4 Ramparts, and 2 Gogs, leaving 5 Wyverns and 80 Gnolls there. And, just like in the first game with numOne in the past m200, I forget to cast Arrow at the end! So it would have been -2 more Wyverns:rolleyes: Then we saved, and it turned out that if I lose, I end up in the playoffs against Sam:eek: The game stopped being fun! After that, the plan was to cover Tazar with magic, which I replenished in a conveniently located Well, but he had more and more troops each time:D, and my opponent also got Anti-Magic! There was also an unpleasant fail with giving away Pegasi in the second FB, when I forgot about the hasted and anti-magicked Gnolls that had waited and flew in. Maybe even without the two Fire Birds from the camp, I wouldn't have been able to win, but with them, all questions disappeared. However, I attacked myself. I thought that with two Lightning Bolts, I positioned for a long, long time, the battle started, and I fatally receive a Death Wave:) I scroll to page 141 hoping that Kyrre would be sold, but a miracle didn't happen. Thanks for the game, numOne! Also thanks to Sam for the support!:)
That's how it was. I think I played the map well, which I can't say about the fights with the opponent. Well, numOne is numOne:cool: An interesting and difficult game. yeah, it's a shame to face friends at such a stage, the draw turned out to be too cruel, and numOne showed that only serious people play in LM)
Today at 8:00 PM Moscow time, there will be a video stream with the distribution of places in group "F" using the High Method! Stratte - red Slayzer - blue AlexRoss - orange zloy_geka - green Akella - yellow Each player's color corresponds to the color of the flag in the game http://www.twitch.tv/dima_surmay
I propose an alternative to the standard coin toss (if players, for some reason, cannot play or finish the game, a coin is tossed to determine the winner. My option is much more interesting (if anything can be interesting in determining a winner without playing).
Players perform a standard draft in choosing Castles. One, for example, chooses a Dungeon, the other - a Rampart. Then, the judge creates a network game. Players connect to it. Game settings: any map, 8 Castles, all random. A map is created. Players see whose Castle is higher in the list; that player wins. If one is missing, then the player with the available Castle wins. If neither is present, then the map creation should be repeated.
Details and variations can still be discussed and improved. Players, among themselves, if they trust each other, can conduct such a draw.
P.S. In this option, the players participate in the lottery themselves. They see the result themselves and immediately. And if it catches on... I would like the name "High" to sound good... For example, call it HIGH SYSTEM DRAW :D
Based on the results of the lottery using the High method, the places in group "F" were distributed as follows: 1st place - Slayzer 2nd place - Stratte 3rd place - AlexRoss 4th place - zloy_geka 5th place - Akella http://www.twitch.tv/dima_surmay/b/440215382
Following the lottery based on the High method, the places in group "F" were distributed as follows: 1st place - Slayzer 2nd place - Stratte 3rd place - AlexRoss 4th place - zloy_geka 5th place - Akella http://www.twitch.tv/dima_surmay/b/440215382
I think this distribution is a foolish decision, because in the "Novice" league, there are mostly unknown players, and it's possible that the strongest participants ended up in the same group, and you're just eliminating them because they were unlucky in the lottery?! Are we here to eat shawarma at the bazaar?
P.S. It could have been based on the seasonal rating, for example...

There will only be one winner. So everyone in the group had a chance to take first place; if they all lost twice, then it's a matter of luck. Would it have been better to play the group games again for two weeks? And this is just one group. In the previous novice tournament, the losers' final, the decisive game was decided by chance. justobserver was just unlucky. If there is a solution to this problem, I would like to hear it.
P.S. You contradict yourself. If they are novices, how can you determine the strongest based on the seasonal rating? One might play 15 games and win 2-3, while the other might have played only one game for the report and won. Who would be ranked higher?

By the way, you're rarely seen, do you play often?
