Well, who took it?
What are your impressions?

I got it. Haven't had a chance to play yet. There's something I don't understand. After activating Warriors of the North, Steam added Counter-Strike: Global Offensive to my library and is prompting me to install it. I don't get it – is this some kind of gift? Free things are nice, but if I end up using my monthly data allowance on Counter-Strike and then find out I have to pay for the purchase... :cool:

Ugh, this is ridiculous. I bought the game on a disc, but Steam forces me to download it from the internet. Question: what's the point of putting it on a disc if you still have to download several GB? And that information isn't even on the disc. Complete nonsense.

Correction: there seems to be information on it, but I haven't figured out how to make Steam install from it yet. I'll try again.

Stop the download, open the disc drive through the Start menu-Computer, and run setup. The installation from the disc will begin.

First impressions: a full-fledged continuation of the Heroes series, unlike Crossroads. A new hero upgrade system, new unit types, a magical amulet - an alternative to the dragon. Overall, it's pretty cool.

PS Has anyone killed Uladar on impossible difficulty? He's too strong for a level 5 hero. And there's nowhere to level up... I managed to do it on the second try: I weakened him, then finished him off.

I found the first Valkyrie on the second island, in a ruined Temple. The experience bonus for the amulet's skills immediately increased noticeably!

I was killing him with a mage, but I had to start over to rearrange the skills differently. Here's a question: has anyone reached the spider? How do you kill it on impossible difficulty? It has 34K health and retaliates against all attacks, even from units that shouldn't be able to attack it (for example, assassins). Is this a bug, or is it supposed to be like that?

In my opinion, these Valkyries are completely useless; they deal minimal damage.

I've only played a little bit so far, but it seems to be going well, and I'm enjoying it. I especially like the fact that you don't start the game as a Knight, as is usually the case; that gets old quickly. I used to always play as Mages, but now I decided to try a Warrior. It's interesting, but mana really isn't used much at all.

Well, if 1000 HP is considered minimal, then yes. A squad of skeletal archers can take them down in one go.

Yeah, I'm getting a bit tired of running after squads, and I ran out of money, so I switched to another location, but I can't defeat a single squad there. I turned on the cheat and made some money for myself.

That's why I chose a difficulty level that works well for me in terms of money management. As a result, I ended up with such a surplus that it's just ridiculous.
