Hello to all fans of Heroes III! In the autumn, during wet and rainy weather, you no longer want to walk around the streets; instead, you just want to go home. To brighten up these gloomy evenings, I invite you to participate in an offline tournament on a small but interesting map, and if you're lucky, you might even win some money :D Let's get started!

1. To participate in the Heroes 3 Tournament, you need to register on our website. If you wish, you can also leave your application in this thread. By leaving an application, you will be notified when your save is received.

2. The tournament is held on the version of Heroes 3: The Shadow of Death with patch 3.2 or 4.0.

3. The goal of the game is to achieve victory in the shortest number of days. In case of a tie in the number of days, the second criterion will be the sum of primary stats (Attack, Defense, Magic Power, Knowledge) taking into account equipped artifacts!
The maximum possible time to complete the map is 4 in-game months. (Starting from 5.1.1, saves will not be accepted)
Note: The sum of primary stats is calculated directly in the final save (if the last action is a battle, then the sum of parameters is calculated before the battle!). In the final save, two heroes must remain (the remaining heroes must be dismissed): the one performing the last action and the hero whose parameters are counted; if these heroes coincide, only one should remain.

4. The prize fund for the tournament is $100
The player who takes 1st place will receive $50
The player who takes 2nd place will receive $20
The player who takes 3rd place will receive $20
The player with the highest total primary stat score will receive $10

5. Discussion of the tournament during its course is FORBIDDEN. I will ban anyone who engages in direct discussion on the forum for the duration of the tournament. Also, please note that if two identical saves are received from different players, their results will be canceled. Since we are playing for prizes, this point is non-negotiable.

In case a player is suspected of cheating or other malicious intent while completing the map, it is necessary to save before each significant event (for example, before a battle, before hiring another hero). The result of a player who played unfairly, as well as one who did not send his description (saves) within the time frame requested by the tournament organizer, will be annulled, and his further participation in tournaments will be impossible. This will also affect his reputation negatively.

9. The tournament starts on 07.10.12 and lasts until 07.11.12 (inclusive, up to 24:00 Moscow time). Only one final save is accepted from each player. The results will be published no later than 13.11.12

I'm not the author. It was taken from the standard maps I have. I don't remember how it got there. Originally, it was from Armageddon's Blade.

It doesn't matter who you play as here; the main thing is that everyone is in the same conditions. It could have been made with a very easy generation, but I tried to avoid making it too easy.

I have a question regarding the Victory Conditions in this Tournament.

I read the Victory Conditions for the Tournament in the 6th installment, and it states the following: "A save in which not all neutral cities have been captured is not considered a victory!"

Therefore, my question is: In this "Labyrinth" Tournament, is it necessary to capture all Neutral cities on my territory and the territory of the opponent?

In checkers, you need to capture all of the opponent's pieces to win, but in chess, is it enough to simply checkmate the king, or do you also need to capture all the pieces? :D

While testing the map, I felt the urge to quickly play through it to get a decent score, as there aren't enough saves, and I need to save some money for the next tournaments :rolleyes: I'm attaching my save file, password protected. I didn't try to get the maximum score, as it wouldn't be very nice to take 1st place :p
