You can use the same account. Just activate another key in the game itself. Your saves will remain. If you want to collect a different set of dynasty heroes or play online with someone else, create a different account.

No, you won't be able to link the game again. What is a collector's edition? It includes two keys, one of which activates the game, and the other unlocks heroes, dynasty weapons, and a scenario. Once you've activated the game, there's no point in activating it again. You can give or sell the second key to someone else.

Can the key for the expansion pack be used twice?

No, all keys are used only once.

Dude, I also have Windows 7, and I solved the problem like this: create a shortcut for the Ubi-launcher on the "desktop," go to "properties," and select "COMPATIBILITY WITH WIN 7" and "RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR."

The game freezes at a random moment. It can happen immediately after loading a save, or during gameplay... It freezes so often that it's simply impossible to play. This didn't happen on Windows XP... or is this a "gift" with the release of version 1.7.1? Has anyone come up with anything to combat this issue?

I can only sympathize. I started experiencing this kind of "gift" after patch 1.3, and it only got worse from there. I haven't played for about six months now.
