So, let's take a closer look at Heroes III URIEL MOD.
After launching, we can see the following menu:
The goal of the game is to defeat the Lord of Darkness and liberate the Kingdom (described in the 'Lords of Darkness' quest).
MAP MODE:)
Well then, let's start the game anyway and click "New" in the main menu. The backstory of the skirmish appears before us:
They came from nowhere. Some say they sailed from the sea, others that they flew on giant birds. But no one can say for sure, as no one has ever seen them. They were called the Lords of Darkness. Magic
[The screenshots are taken after a couple of minutes of gameplay, so you can see a slightly opened map, 2 spells in the book, and 1 artifact]
Well, my initial impression of the game for a mobile phone is, I think, quite positive.
Now let's enter the Castle and see what awaits us here:
Let's enter the fort (this is where the city mayor sits, who will tell us something).
Next, let's enter the prefecture (currently the mages guild, where you can buy scrolls). Of the scrolls, I initially managed to buy only the "fire arrow" scroll (by default, 10 of them are available).
And finally, you can enter the tavern (this is now where troops are hired). Although, for some reason, it immediately said that no one could be hired (probably not enough leadership). But here is who could have been hired:
The assortment is small, of course, but for a mobile game mod, everything has been reworked quite well.
After inspecting the Castle, you can set off on your journey. Along the way, there's that same pleasant atmosphere of Heroes 3 (you can encounter scrolls, chests, and various other things).
Actually, only two things were disappointing in all of this:
- non-transparent sprites (sprite — an animated image, in this case, the units)
- a complete lack of any balance in battle
