I don't like it. The sharp transition of the background into the appearing image is very noticeable in some places. And if it was forgivable in 1998, now... In general, I didn't expect this.

To be honest, I like these much more. Yes, I agree, they don't really work as city screens, but as just artistic images, they are much neater, more pleasant, and more atmospheric (and this is always important to me). And I mean specifically these (basic) versions of the windows, and not their subsequent iterations. IMHO, of course.

Nice visuals, I like them. Of course, the third game has better ones (even though I'm not a fan of the third part), but these are also good. In my opinion, they are better than the previous ones. I saw that you figured it out. Just to clarify that having a hero who isn't one of the faction's native races is perfectly normal. It's just that we've gotten used to the fifth game, where only the mages had humans in their roster along with various genies (although it's not entirely accurate – humans are essentially the mages' native race), and everyone else only had their own race represented among their heroes. In other parts of the series, they often didn't shy away from using heroes from other races. Even necromancers sometimes had living heroes.

Well, I don't like the city screens from either the fifth installment or these ones. Specifically, I don't like the latter because they are drawn sloppily, that's one. Again, there's a clutter of buildings (a problem in all parts), that's two. Excessive brightness of the color palette, that's three.
I hope that these are just conceptual images.

In general, yes, these flaws are present. What bothers me the most is that the basic and final screens don't differ too much. Or did Ubisoft show not the very initial screen in the news, but one that already has some buildings?

Hello, I played Heroes 6 a bit. I haven't played any of the previous installments before. They say the earlier games are even more interesting. I don't want to buy pirated copies because they often have cut graphics and sound. Where and how can I find a legitimate copy so I can play properly? Overall, the game is worth playing. It's just a shame that the gameplay is tedious and somewhat resembles managing accounting.

Zoltar, that's not really relevant to this topic. Try looking in online stores, especially digital ones. You're unlikely to find previous installments in a regular store, unless it's a pirated collection.

I looked at the Barbarian town screen, and I expected something different – palm trees, a beach, Aztec pyramids, yellow sand, and vast expanses of the sea.

Oh yes, if a DLC with new features like dynastic weapons and new heroes comes out, I'll gladly buy it.
Although, to be honest, I still haven't collected all the remaining dynastic weapons... but it's not too late yet.

Of course... These are the initial versions of the current town screens, which will soon be replaced with something new and subpar. I repeat, I like the basic versions, not their further modifications with built-up fortifications, the main building, portals, and so on. It's these ones. They stand out due to their simplicity, neatness, atmosphere, landscape, and free space... Magnificent pictures, they even create a certain mood. But they are not really suitable as screens. Although, as one person said, a small village should look like a small village, and the images I posted successfully fulfilled this task.

My respect for "Black Hole" continues to grow. How carefully and with what soul they did their job... Truly a European level. And now we see what happens when... I can't even imagine who created the new screens... The execution is so poor... Well, it's too late now, nothing can be changed anyway.
