I think I had the same issue. But after three attempts... only the clone suffered because the computer cast Frenzy in the first round, but I didn't cast immediately; I waited for the computer to cast... then the clone attacked the snipers, and by the end of the first round, all that remained of the Azure were corpses... then I blinded a group of snipers and resurrected everyone...

Sorry about the image. After cropping in Paint, the screenshot somehow took up 813 MB. I had to resize it in FS Viewer. Looks like I overdid it a bit.
About the battle - in the first 2 rounds, I targeted the Azure Berserkers. They killed 2 squads of snipers. The remaining snipers were killed by our Azure and Archangel units.
Starting from the 3rd round, the Salamander Azure units, under the effect of Frenzy, began to attack the Azure and Archangel units. They killed the Azure units and half of the Archangels. Then they attacked the snipers and were killed there.
Starting from the 3rd round, I only cast the Explosion spell.
The opponent didn't cast anything other than Executioner and Frenzy.
It was roughly like that.
I'm talking about Derty; he's either banned from playing Heroes online until the end of the year or there's a tournament with a $1000 prize pool...;)
And in general, I repeat, I really liked the "Undead Apocalypse" map, I recommend it to everyone who loves difficult maps, and not just “mowing down,” but those where you need to figure out how to act.

When I finally stopped hesitating and "snickered," :) I realized what I was doing wrong: I rearranged the stacks of archers so that the snipers were approximately in the middle. Now, of course, everything became clear: here is my first result, naturally not the best (it's a pity for the archangels!), but achieving a perfect victory here is no longer necessary for me – the main outcome is important. Yes, there are just many spells and techniques in "Heroes" that I rarely use or almost never use, and I somehow forgot about the Power Field, but here it is – exactly what the doctor ordered. But now I can redeem myself in the eyes of the players: it's still annoying, because I'm not such a noob! :)

You can actually skip recruiting anyone else and just use Azure and Sniper units, using the force field to safely eliminate the enemy Azure units.
I had an idea to cast antimagic on the snipers and then use the force field to eliminate the Azure units... but there are a few nuances: 1) The AI figures out to use mass dispel, removing all spells (including antimagic and the force field).
2) The snipers run out of shots because there's no wagon, and it will end badly...
3) If the Salamander Azure units move before ours, you'll have to fight all over again...
I also thought the same at first, BUT:
I had an option to cast antimagic on the snipers and then use a force field to shoot down the azure creatures... but there are some small nuances: 1) The AI figures out to use mass dispel and removes all spells (including antimagic and the force field)
2) The snipers don't have enough shots because there's no wagon, and it will be a one-way trip...
3) If the salamander azure creatures move before ours, then you have to fight all over again...
But for now, we will read something like this:
an incredibly cool final boss
So, I think the author decided to make Salamandre invincible.
Cast Frenzy on the snipers, and that should be enough.
How?!))) Anti-magic should be used on the snipers... otherwise, the computer will keep casting spells on them every turn: blinds, curses, and other nonsense...:p
P.S. No matter how you play, victory is inevitable, in my opinion.
Rule #1
I play the path of least resistance
so everything is based on that
1. I only had to kill one AI opponent during the entire game - the blue one. The rest died on their own :D
2. The crate with 50 Azure Dragons is clearly unnecessary. It makes things too easy.
3. The Armageddon Blade with the brown player is a significant advantage for the human player!
4. The AI opponents attack the human player's starting town through a one-way monolith and die there. (They emerge on the water, and the human player takes the town through the monolith, and they die because they don't have time to take any town).
5. The ability to collect the Necromancer's Robe greatly simplifies the game.
These are my impressions.

I played "Champions of Gel" again on 200% or impossible difficulty.
...
I offered you saves. You didn't want them then. I don't have them anymore.
Regarding the game, I played as the Swamp faction with the blue color. The main hero was, I think, Tazar. I took out the Swamp AI opponent first, then defeated the blue one, gathered an army, and went to the crimson one. It's all simple.
Believe me, 55 days for this map is far from the best result.
By the way, I haven't been on the forum or online for a long time. So I played Heroes offline:smile14:. I decided to try and really get into Maxut and complete a few missions. I completed 2 missions in 1 real day, and then replayed them in the evening:cool:.
The first one is actually a very easy map. The one called "Artyukh's Problems."
The main thing here is to remember the terrain well or just open the editor and, after taking the outposts, town, and griffins, run straight to the green tent. And there, if the AI hasn't killed the dragons near the town, you can very easily steal the town itself. In essence, if you take a town with an unredeemed growth, you've already won =) Then, of course, try to steal the second town and move towards the blue tent. And there, you gather horses and... lol). By the way, the blue player sends such huge sums for the ransom of his army that you're just glad you have an ally)). In general, I completed it in 3 months and a few days. I don't remember exactly because I don't have the saves.
The second mission, "Mountain Pass," is a more difficult map. It depends a lot, of course, on the development in the first mission. So you definitely need to take the Log. And in general, you need to think carefully about the development. But if you have the Log, then... ))) you need to rush very quickly. Take out the blue one. Establish yourself in the corner of the map and in the center, capturing several Strongholds in addition, and, of course, hideouts. Hideouts are very powerful. If you survive to at least the first replenishment, the game becomes interesting. You can't waste time because if you let the AI opponents live, they might establish themselves. But we have such a great thing as a tavern. So, chains, chains, and more chains =)
In principle, there's nothing special about the map, although at first glance it may seem difficult. The main thing is to start well and rush.
За то что нейтралы не бегают за единичкой, для меня это уже стоит того
Chingis, is there any hope that you will one day achieve the desired best result in completing "Champions of Gelia" and turn your favorable attention to other maps? After all, there are more than 3000 of them! ;)

Lider1, "Gift-2001" is only difficult the first time. But once you know in advance what, where, and how, you can complete it without much effort. This applies to any map. But for me, it's just not interesting anymore: I'd rather play a new map than "play to death" one I've already completed.:)
I don't see anything wrong with replaying a map many times. I've played some maps over 100+ times :D
And not for the sake of the result, but simply for the "love of the art" :D :D :D
