I don't understand. I launched the loader, and another patch was installed (it took about 10 seconds), even though version 1.4 was installed the week before last. After launching the game, version 1.4.0 is displayed. What was that?
Was the patch downloaded in a window with the game's splash screen in the background? That was an update for the loader, not the game.
Yes, there are mods. But there aren’t many, and they are mostly minor. For example, there’s a mod that displays the range of units (instead of “low” or other vague terms, it shows the corresponding numbers). You can find it on heroes.ag.ru, in the Heroes 6 forum, in the mods catalog.
Was the patch being downloaded in a window with the game's splash screen in the background? This was an update for the launcher, not the game itself.
I received a message saying, "Please wait, the patch is being installed." And something was being downloaded. Although, it might have been the launcher that was being updated.
Yesterday, I noticed a strange thing. I'm replaying Archipelago, playing as the Orcs, and a computer-controlled demon attacks me. During the battle, it summons reinforcements, and these reinforcements take some of the damage that is dealt to the main stack from which they were copied. Moreover, they take a significant amount of damage, as a result of which the main stack is depleted very slowly. I haven't seen this before. Is this an update, or a unique feature of that particular demon hero?
I don't make empty promises. Who has seen 300 battle maps yet?:) Later, if there are maps like the ones now, then you can release 900 of them. They are still not interesting to play. They are almost the same, only the sizes and names are different.
Ah, I apologize. I misunderstood. I thought you meant battle maps (which are loaded when attacking enemy creatures), and not single maps that are loaded when selecting a game.
Then, yes. I agree. There are few of them. Fans can supplement the list of standard maps, but it seems they are not particularly interested in it yet. Because, in addition to the buggy game itself, the map editor is also buggy. Plus, the developers promised to release a map generator, but I think it won't happen before the first expansion pack.
Here's a news item about the E3 exhibition on ГУголке. It's unlikely that an expansion will be announced, but there's still hope.
I'll need to take a closer look at the editor. But this feature of coloring a territory so that battles with neutral creatures begin there... It seems to be done through Magadan.
On the one hand, it really does look like Necropolis. On the other hand... it's different in some ways, some elements have been added and changed... It involuntarily reminds me of their April Fool's joke... But that's just nonsense. So, it's Necropolis.
