Well, I meant the saves of Marreti's game with Finker — there were 3 games on Jebus, that's why I wrote that the game on Jebus specifically didn't impress me
I don't care what Oelm writes about how I played... I'll respond to those who are interested in listening. In the first game, I was 90% sure that Craig had Haste, because he was running around very confidently and accelerated on the 4th week at a fork near me... without fearing that I would rush out there + there were also clear moves that confirmed this... In the Facebook game, I decided not to wait until I was chopped up by a bunch of skeletons and went on the attack myself... the opponent had 4-5 morale and 2 luck... I had one luck on the wyverns, and that was when their stack was already heavily damaged (28 left)... hoping for luck, I put on a necklace +3 luck, morale, and not 3 + all... I went forward with everything because I thought there was a good area for a battle there, as not everyone could get to the wyverns + I hoped that either someone would be lucky with morale or with luck... but none of this happened... in the second round, luck favors the monsters, and they destroy 9 Nagas, then morale goes to the wyverns... Bolt attacked the archmages with the Thunderbirds... morale played for the wolves... I remember that when the wyverns attacked the Thunderbirds, they also attacked the archmages... in general, all this very much ruined my army... now for Oelm - if I had waited, then from that side, with Haste, they would have destroyed a lot of my army... and what would I have done then with these remnants... or maybe you can suggest some ideas on how to play in the first 2 rounds at least??
Now about the second game... I was losing in the center, there was nowhere to go... in one direction there was a block of elves, in the other - the Garrison... there were exits to the secondary herbs and underground... the elves need to be beaten, so I only upgraded tactics for the Tyrannosaurus, but I still need to upgrade somewhere + they might not let me... and it's not interesting to spend moves on this, because I was given Earth and the opponent went underground, I really hoped to meet them there... but I had to go around it once + I was well-leveled and had every chance to fight normally... when I was standing near the city, I calculated how much army there might be... 1st - I thought there would be a maximum of 50-55 archers, not 61, 2nd - well, the speed cloak was the main surprise, 3rd - I thought there would be no more than 1-2 angels... because there were no obvious losses in the opponent's army that could be in a strong composition... there were enough spears, archers, swords + my 16 wyverns looked good as a strike force that could inflict good damage... I also hoped that there would not be all the mana there, as it was 8 out of 20 or 30... I really thought that Earth would decide this Facebook game + I didn't see any further continuation of the game for myself, which really pushed me... going back or attacking the opponent's city was not interesting to me, so I went on the attack... everything turned out badly, because the archers, not the elves, shot first due to the cloak... and this decided everything... when the elves died, I had to go on the attack...
Normal start, but week 3 just killed me — Dragon Utopias with artifacts for swimming and bags of money and a one-way portal to the opponent forced me to grind. Dimension Door with Fly are built at home and in the secondary hero, but the portal was a trap. And when I had already given up hope of finding it — Elesar picks up a box with level 4 magic. Immediately I send him into the Conflux for Earth, return, and he immediately advances Earth — hurray, full control. By this time, in secondary heroes, dwelling construction 1-7 in the Conflux castle and the castle, at home and in the Swamp 1-6, 3 fronts, income 12500 per day, and about 5 external dwellings. The opponent takes my main hero, good thing he didn't go for the dragons. On 211, plague. He sticks his neck out to my Conflux, Ivor, having gorged on a Dragon Utopia, hands over the loot to Elesar. I sacrifice an external dwelling, he with Armageddon, artifacts, and Fire Magic Amplifier wipes out half the army, the opponent demonstrates he knows Earth Magic, but it doesn't save him. Eleshar with eight Archangels impales him painfully, gg.
The opponent got lucky, of course, on week 3 on a silver platter full control, and also mega-good growth for the main hero. But he couldn't realize it.
Vale with one stack, 2nd hero has none at all, GG with Efreeti, but there is Grindan, external dwellings 1,3,4 and a prison... decided to take a risk. Found a Griffin Conservatory, planned to go there after the gnomes, but the opponent surrendered. And it's unlikely he would have won there — money troubles and GG no weaker than mine.
The second round in the losers' bracket has ended.

Generator victory. He of course marked up our templates, I removed 8xm8 and Jebus Cross (didn't want to give an advantage to a color)
On day 1, 6 heroes, among them a Necromancer, there seem to be some big bosses, resources too, everything except Sulfur, playing. On day 112 I light up the Griffin Conservatory, a Gremlin external dwelling, the Necromancer is already an expert, but the roads only lead to GO and to the village((( , planning to trek through the wilderness for 2 days to the adjacent zone. Everything turned out to be much more sad than at the start. No Sulfur, but there is a mine in the swamp adjacent zone. By the skin of my teeth, having built a chain through the swamp, with the last tile a peon reaches a pile of Sulfur, Naga are built. Dad is already on his way to that adjacent zone I was planning to go to. I ran over, and there are enemy scouts. In the other direction, a block of Griffin/cyclops. Also attacking from another flank - about 80 Lizardmen there. And it was their week too. Could have tried to argue (he nearly bought them all out), but those 10 lizards probably wouldn't have made a difference - the opponent has 2 of their external dwellings, an external dwelling of Basilisk and Gnolls, 3 stacks from the start, an amazing road network, in short, chocolate with raisins. Deja vu of the game with Fire, except he had 3 external dwellings of Elves, not two)))
It's annoying, of course, to be knocked out virtually without a fight, but...
He again edits 8mm6 where little was in his favor, I edit 8xm8 where nothing is in my favor, the smka is removed there, of the remaining ones I decided to play Jebus Cross.
The draw was equally bad it seems - to me 2 Hives with strong guards and a single Griffin Conservatory, plus external dwellings of Hydras and Gorgons in the swamps, also with decent guards. Gave the opponent a couple of Hives too, which he ignored, which is not surprising given what was seen in GoD's games; in China, wyverns are not in fashion nowadays. Also a Griffin Conservatory for 1 Angel, and a couple of external dwellings of horses.
But then he quickly shot through the GO with Naga using mass slow, then similarly dug up artifacts for stats in the treasure zone, and ran along the road almost to my GO. It wasn't so simple for me, money was bad (a couple of days earlier I had bought Taz a Log of Air) - the road to the GO (and as it turned out also to another Hive) was blocked by about 80 Stone Golems. Taz skips them, peons work. At the end of the week I stretched to the external dwelling of Hydras, but I had nothing much to pick them with. I took a risk - there were about 36 Basilisks, they beat me up, I don't go into the external dwelling anymore, I put cows in the castle. In short, for a smka the setup isn't bad, but on a smka you don't have to hit the GO on the 2nd...
All of week 2 I was messing around - collecting cash, dragging the army through the swamp after Hives, Taz ate a Pandora's Box that was behind the Golems - all water magic, but without Wisdom, great.
By 131 I brought Taz and Xarfax with mass slow to the GO, but blue is already wandering around there, I can only run in their direction, on the other side a neutral respawn. I took a risk and attacked the Gr Vivs with Xar - they kicked my ass, of course. With the remnants of the army I run to the opponent hoping to catch him either on speed or without mana - but everything is fine there, surrender.
Thanks for the game
P.S. for the future: if another championship is held, it's still worth carefully considering the list of templates. In this version there is no room for maneuver.
By the way, regarding the ban on flight and Dimension Door on Jebus Cross balance and SM... in my opinion, this is a gross error in the rules... for example, you break Utopia; they only give KV in it, which cannot be used, and there is no significant army, so the advantage is already with the opponent while you have no bonuses..
I'm not very good at Jeb, but I'm still curious if there were any chances in the 2nd game. I'm posting the save from day 1. The goal is to break the Haven by day 125-126 with acceptable losses, so that you're not defenseless in the treasure game. Arguments like "I wouldn't have spread out so much on day 1" are not accepted. You have a lot of attempts and can even play with an open map.
He didn't disappoint! He appeared at the beginning of turn 125. A rather interesting map. Save:
Well done, in that case, even if it was a small chance for a counter-play, it would have been there. He was sitting in the swamp village at the end of turn 126 with stats of 18-21-14-19, 200 mana, but with a weak army.
I probably made a mistake by wanting everything at once - to take the upper village, the hydra lair, and I also bought skills for Tazu for 4k. The Vasili that left to take the village would have helped in breaking through the lair's guard, and the money spent on the hero in the chain to this village would have just helped to heal and buy a home hydra.
I only revealed the map right before the trial to assess the situation... but I played it as if it were a normal game, far from my father's style, so please don't throw tomatoes at me.
112 - cleaning out crypts in a chain, setting up a chain back to Taz who is running further along the road toward the secondary town; Voy has MP left, so I move them a couple of steps down (nowhere else to go), right where a consulate is glowing, which will be checked later. The remaining cockroaches run to collect resources and scout, and one runs up the road.
113 - taking the secondary town, but because I have to bypass griffins—clearly nearly 50 of them (Dragon Utopia+artifact)—I don't even have enough MP to step inside. I buy another hero and put both on a speed-up run; the native secondary town is pleasing + one meat shield. Collecting resources, messing around.
114 - Building Mage Guild in the secondary town, Taz takes a book and crashes into griffins; troop chain back. Along the way, I beat a +3 Defense sword for 7 dwarves and a snake. Voy scouts the consulate; I immediately set up a chain to take it. Ideally, I'd put hydras there, but since there are few gatherers due to early long chains + expenses on the secondary town and crashes, by the end of the turn after building Vasya, only 20 copper pieces remain... dreaming of hydras for the next turn is out.
115 - Buying back with Vasya (no one else left) and attacking the consulate. Fought poorly + there was morale, but I didn't load; lost 7 lizards. Due to a miscalculation that the adjacent stack was 70+ dwarves, whom they were afraid to hit—though usually they do—lost -2 Vasya, about 15 dwarves, and a snake. Taz on a 9-speed run rushes straight to the hydras' external dwelling; for a level after the upgrade, I got mysticism exp—not great, but oh well.
116 - With an angel, the chain doesn't mesh well; to drag him off-road to the external dwelling, I use a bunch of heroes, but it's still not enough. Taz is standing on a snake one move away from Vasya behind the external dwelling and waits for the army. The citadel with the Castle are being built tick-for-tick over these days; just in case, I put a market in the secondary town... gathering 12200+ in one day because of the hydra pond and buying out from the external dwelling will be very hard.
117 - Loaded on Vasya to minimize losses, but almost always gave away Viva (especially the mean upgraded stack—almost never hit without petrification), and when I didn't give it away, the dwarves were torn apart. As a result: Viva and 16 dwarves. At the hydra external dwelling, I used the strategy with water regarding taking the external dwelling on the first days; only difference is I had an angel instead of a snake, so no problems arose at all. After buying the hydras, 5+ gold remains; I exchange the rest through one market, thanks to resources allowing it. Taz is offered air—I take it, otherwise after mysticism they'll push navigation with some eagle eye again. Nearby is a university for 20-49 snakes; I kill them losing single dwarves, they offer offense—I take it! I don't have time to enter the university.
121 - In the university, they offer earth—super, I grab it and crash into the main town. I don't build Mage Guild; slow is already there, and the mana issue is solved by mysticism, which finally came in handy here. The chain with the angel groaned as it moved back, but naturally doesn't make it in one turn.
122 - On the way, stepping slightly off the road, I beat Pandora for 5k exp + Naga Bank—minimum. Taz pushes earth; I stand on the same road as the angel's speed-up run. The great chain of angel-bearers still can't get its act together to line up anywhere :D
123 - Taz with 6 hydras leaves no chance for the 100 golems blocking the road and guarding Pandora for all level 1 spells!!!!!! (YEEHAW) and a +4 Defense shield. I build a chain up the road to take the hive with the artifact + the ability to reach the secondary town later and boots +2 All.
124 - Leaving Taz on the angel to run forward toward GO, collecting upgrades along the way (due to even small deviations from the road, the distance traveled was significantly cut, so the runaway hero almost caught up by the next turn). Chain back with buy-backs of Vivas and same old stuff from the main town via market exchange (by the way, in the main town from 121-124 nothing but a market was built, crisis :smile45: ). Collected a couple of chests + an imp near the castle. On the hive guard—//loaded on 12 champions too; couldn't get it right the first time, either morale or clumsy hands :smile33: . By the 4th try, I got through with the loss of 2 dwarves and 2 snakes. The hive falls to 8 Vivas with the loss of remaining dwarves. Trying to finish the chain so that on the next turn I take boots +2 All, secondary town, and immediately back.
125 - Slow roads are clearly not my forte, so the chain didn't mesh for several moves; basically, I led everything back. Upgraded snakes in the Castle; everything returned to Taz, who by the way after the golems successfully exped earth and had exactly 9 mana for oil and shield (well, at least something worked out here :smile23: ). GO was not beaten on the first try, of course—maybe the 3rd. Well, I'm such a noob that everything should be great and immediate :smile42: . Now check the rest in the pictures and saves. :smile49:
