What are the stats of the heroes? What about magic and mana?
The arrangement behind the tower seems very strange. Why aren't the archers positioned at the corners?
Download the heroes and save file; it will be easier to understand...
Approximately 24-26 against 35-25. Mass ground units + mass air units against mass ground units + air units. Of course, Viv should be positioned on one flank, and Gremlins on the other. But even with a terrible setup, Maretti still has a chance.
It seems to me the best way for Crag is to attack immediatly with haste, if you get luck or morale in first round then i think it will be the easy win. I cannot understand the reason for hiding the weakest unit - chieftanes, and making the group in the corner having 40 mana 35 attack and masshaste. I tried to replay this battle from the screen, i cannot understand how Neela could lose if tower troops do their best(but I have another order of tower units). Don't mind, i just was greatly dissapointed by such final.
If I cast mass haste right away the skeletons will be slowed before they can hit and I can expect him to hit me with all units for 2 rounds. Considering he has alot to luck and moral too and I dont have armor that would be a disastor. Like this I get to hit him with all for 2 rounds instead after his first attack where he hit the skeletons anyway.
Oelm is back!!!)))) Finally, the post-factum analysis sessions have resumed!! :smile31: I suppose you consider Maretti to be just an average player with a good rating, but it still seems a bit unfair. It's like some low-level player trying to teach Karpov a thing or two)) At least don't embarrass yourself in front of foreigners.
Oelm is back!!!)))) Finally, the post-factum flight analyses have resumed!!:smile31: I admit that in your eyes Maretti is barely above an average GR player, but still, it's somehow unsightly. It's like some rank amateur teaching Karpov a thing or two, for example)) At least don't embarrass yourself in front of foreigners
+1 Watched 2 games of Maretti against the Chinese player. Maretti's pathing precision is striking — the play is like offline, no unnecessary runs across the respawn, even suspicions of maphack (in the 1st game, straight into the fog with a pahan, in the second, clearly onto a Pandora's Box with 20+ gr. bulls without wisdom).
But whatever. What I found interesting from the games: Playing as Barbarians, all of Maretti's scout heroes run on goblins (while I always race them on wolves.) Wolves are there, but he didn't use them. In the second game as Rampart, he built magic immediately... I suspect in hopes of drafting dragons if their external dwelling is found, and maybe even a dungeon.. but neither the external dwelling nor a dungeon was found. (I always build elves on 111). Unusual and informative.

I admit my lineup isnt perfect, but its not bad either. I set it up in 2 min where others would use 10-15. Thats just how I like to play. I had 1 abs, all orcs, 50 wolfs, 20 wyvs and 189 skells left after the battle, so thats good enough.
Guys, why are you being so critical? :( I understand that it's easier to analyze other people's saves in a calm environment. But it was a game in a tournament, and no matter how cool a player is, nerves still affect things.
I don't think your reasoning is boosting Gomunguls' morale right now. We should support our players, not criticize games that have already been played. Especially in such a way - without any specific and helpful advice.
Sorry for the off-topic. I couldn't resist. :(
P.S. By the way, I watched that final match of Mikoge against Gomunguls. In my opinion, Maretti played perfectly.
also watched the saves of all 3 games - disappointed by the play of both, at least on Jebus...
Opinions may vary; I also have my own perspective on the playing style of Maretti, Vitali, etc. But! In a tournament with 100+ players, Maretti reaches the final. In a tournament with 80, he wins. Currently, he is doing great on Jebus Cross. The results speak for themselves.
Good Humor, DP, unfortunately, virtual communication only allows for theorizing.
Sorry if anyone misunderstood me.
Firstly, why discuss final battles – in my opinion, it's interesting. At least, it is for me. In general, from now on, I won't interfere with my opinions, since Hv players are now highly respected.
Now, you – "to be humiliated" in the Heroes sense of the word – need to point out obvious mistakes in the Final Battle. Not being humiliated means getting 25 grand on level 113 and losing the game. Not being humiliated means winning the Final Battle and playing it extremely poorly. And the final of the favorites' tournament is not about being humiliated. Just don't dare say that someone made a mistake in the Final Battle setup.
And now, to the point:
I have a positive or equal record with any of the true Hv players with whom I've played more than 2 games. No player here will bet against me on standard terms. Simply because they know their chances. I've beaten strong Chinese players on fixed maps and strong European players on random maps. My score with Maretti is 2-2. Probably that's why I decided that I have the right to offer my two cents about the Final Battle, which I personally found interesting. I have nothing against Maretti's game; what upsets me is the game of Hv players.
2Anders: I didn't understand your argument. My suggestion was mass haste on Begemot's turn; I think it was evident.
I hope it's clear that this post doesn't require a response; I won't be in the mood to read your whining anytime soon.
