Alright, fine. But that was a long time ago, and I wasn't even very good at the game back then, so the losses were significant. Nevertheless, it was still Winge, not some Ossir.
are artifacts that reduce the initiative and luck of the enemy hero even necessary?
You're asking! Of course, they are. We take the Staff of the Underworld and the Cursed Ring. And don't forget to learn Luck with the Soldier skill and Deadly Luck. But the best thing is to equip a full set of Dwarven artifacts. Ugh... I think that's all.
Смысла нет, но вы держитесь там. Удачи, здоровья, хорошего настроения! И пока в кармане пачка милкиуэйев - значит все не так уж плохо на сегодняшний день
Well, look for the gnome spell in the manual; it's called something else. Before the battle, it applies dodge and stone skin to all troops, plus a bunch of other useful effects.

Yeah, the guy didn't level up very well. But still, it's clear that he fought much better than the Necromancer, he just couldn't withstand the onslaught of so much "meat" (although in this case, there was clearly less of it than there should have been).
So, you're saying the guy played poorly and got lucky? I doubt you could do any better. I already said something about the quality of my tactics – the replay was made a long time ago, probably about 3 years ago, when I was just starting to play Heroes 5.

There's magic, there's no defense. That's all you see in the replay.

Well, yes, I understand, not enough units. But still, it's a victory. As I said, it's a good counter-faction.
Good point, but a lot still depends on the player, and as for artifacts, it's not a given that one artifact will decrease initiative while another will increase it. The Necropolis faction is strong in numbers, but that's about it, and I might even dispute that. However, in the case of the Hammers of Fate, there was a point. TE was playing, and he lost a significant portion of his army while attacking a Fortress. In the next battle, he fought against a friend who was playing Necropolis. At the end of our battle, he still had a decent army left, while I had a large number of Hydras. I killed the Necromancer with Armageddon and then finished him off with a Phoenix.
As for the Elves, I agree with Ment. Elves have high initiative, and that's their advantage. It's impossible to block their archers, as the Necropolis faction lacks both speed and initiative. Even with Boots of Speed (a common artifact).
Liches can be blocked with Ogres, as they are large creatures, and skeletons can be blocked with Dragons. Fairies and Dancers can attack any unit, and archers can eliminate Death Knights, after which you can protect your archers with Ents. During all this time, the Necropolis faction can only move around their Vampires. As everyone knows, Elves have good defense, even when they are attacking, they are difficult to kill. Nothing personal, but this is my opinion.
And I think it will be easier to play as Dwarves against the Elves if you try to upgrade absolute defense.

Not a bad battle, but the Elf attacked the Spectres tactlessly; they should be left for last
Liches are blocked by horns because they are large creatures, and skeletons are blocked by dragons.
If it's really necessary, you can use this tactic and block them all.
Yes, and it has been confirmed that it's impossible to kill Necropolis in the late game, at least if the Necropolis has 2 castles - then consider it a loss.

If it's really necessary, you can use a tactic to shut them all down.
Yes, and it's been proven that it's impossible to kill Necropolis in the late game, at least if the Necropolis has 2 castles – then you can consider it a lost cause.
I don't argue, the balance is severely disrupted by the undead converter, it will be difficult, but hope dies last, and in your opinion, how can you kill the undead?
