Stanislav is actually a Polish name. I am an atheist, of course, but it's a pity that I don't even have a saint in the Orthodox calendar. And they call me Stas or Slava... What a depressing name.
My name has always suited me.... The only exception was when I was a teenager – I couldn't stand being called by my full name – Tatiana... But that's passed now ;)
Если тебе не везёт в жизни, - играй в какую-нибудь другую игру:rolleyes: Лидер клана "Из многих единое" Приключения – это сплошные неприятности, только про них почему-то потом интересно вспоминать...
I don't really like being called by my full name either – Fyodor; by the way, it means "God's gift":D:D
С Пути сбивают мелкие достижения, а изощрённые суждения скрывают смысл слов. И вот уже возникают "правильное" и "неправильное"... - Чжуан-цзы Сильванис
I especially dislike it when people I barely know (or don't know at all) start addressing me in a diminutive way. (Where's the vomiting emoji here? This is unacceptable!)

Well, strangers—that's true... Although it depends on what you consider a diminutive... For instance, if people I barely know call me Tanya—I don't mind, but if it's Tanyechka, Tanyushka, etc.—I'll be outraged. On the other hand, friends are allowed everything. Even things that aren't exactly names ;) For example, my best friend calls me tatkO :D :D (the stress is specifically on the last syllable). And it's fine—I like it!

What kind of name do you have? Now I'm actually curious!
By the way, I've become curious too ;)

It was especially infuriating when I was dragged somewhere with a throbbing jaw (pulpitis, but no time for treatment—finals week) and sleep-deprived (slept only three hours due to an attack). My stomach hurt, and I had just finished an exam. On top of that, I had to maintain a polite smile. And then there were those people I was seeing for the very first time who called me by a diminutive name while using formal "you"... (again, not enough emojis!)
And for some reason, everyone—absolutely everyone—says I'm stupid for not liking my own name, and they start listing female relatives and friends with the same name, as if it pleases me that half the street turns around when someone shouts.
Diminutives ending in "-sha" are just awful. They immediately remind me of a nasty boy who came up with mean rhymes. And I think there was more than one.
As for my last name, it's a real miracle—always and everywhere, you get to be first on every list!

I like my name. The only thing is, I always wanted to be called by my full name, until my ex-girlfriend started calling me that. I listened to how it sounded, and now I don't want to be called by my full name anymore. Unless it's a formal event. And Genghis is not great. It's still not entirely clear how it translates. The most common translation is: He whose power extends from ocean to ocean.
Tyoma. Just Tyoma. I like it! And how can you not like your own name?!
We have the same name, by the way. Recently, I haven't been very fond of being called Artem (in its full form), but Tyoma is just right, it's a cool name...
Плоды размышлений были съедены червями сомнения...
Lena, it seems like a beautiful name, derived from Selene, meaning moon, but! once again! The owner of such a name constantly hears various insults and offensive rhymes...
