Now that Spira has been revealed as a maniac (let's assume that's true), the situation is as follows: one of the mafia skipped their turn (let's assume that the same recruitment attempt was blocked), so either Lynx is the killer from the second mafia, or the killer from the second mafia went to Lynx, or to Tox. In the last two cases, Lynx is a town member. In this situation, it's better to go into the night phase as a neutral, I think.

By skipping a turn, I meant the absence of a kill, just in case.
