November 2, 2011 – A Full-Scale Handbook Update!
-
A completely new section 9. Weeks and Months has been added, which, in turn, led to
a change in the familiar section tree. The new section provides comprehensive information on all events occurring on the first day of a new week. Now, this is no longer a mystery for the player; ;)
- Section 18. Mapmaking has been
completely rewritten from scratch.
Now, this section provides not only a complete description of the map editor, with all settings, properties, buttons, and panels, but also includes appendices on creature types, hero names, and artifacts. In addition, additional information and tips are provided. A description of the random map generator is also included. As a result of creating this section, the "Goblin" map was created in parallel and is now available for everyone to play. This section is now graphical, and almost every subsection is accompanied by pictures. Henceforth, the section has acquired a new name:
19. Map Editor and Mapmaking;:)
- 6 maps have been added to section
20. Maps: the 5th map from the NWC campaign, Goblin, and Day of Victory by VDV_forever, and Emerald Isles, Dark Ages, and Brave World by Jelar. Thus,
the number of maps available for download on the handbook has increased to 209!
- Corrections have been made in section
14. The relationship between a hero's level and the number of his experience points (XP) regarding the hero's experience (starting from level 13);
-
The website header has been changed.
Note - The update applies only to the online version of the handbook!I would like to express my sincere gratitude to
AlexSPl for his help in creating the new section, as well as for his comments and suggestions in preparing new material and revising the old.
P.S. It is planned that after the update of the last 2 sections:
25. Programs and Utilities, 26. Bugs and Differences in Versions, the
next version of the handbook, 4.0, will be released.
I will be grateful to anyone for their comments, suggestions, and ideas regarding the handbook. Any of your thoughts and materials can provide invaluable assistance to the project. You can express your opinions in this topic or on the handbook forum
here.;)
Sincerely, VDV_forever
