The Finale
Alejandro Meyers hurried into his office. Locking the door, he approached his favorite armchair and collapsed into it, feeling utterly exhausted. The mayor reached for a glass of wine standing on a small table nearby, greedily drained it, and took a deep breath. The last few days had kept him in immense tension; he had barely slept, disturbed by the chaos unfolding at the villa. In another attempt to find a way out of this situation, Meyers loosened his tie, leaned back, and began rubbing his temples.
- Hello, Dad," a hoarse voice said to the billionaire, followed by the click of a hammer being pulled back. Alejandro straightened up sharply and looked around the room in horror. Only now did he notice a figure lurking in the shadow of the wardrobe.
- You! - cursing himself for not ordering security to check the office or even turning on the light, Meyers gritted his teeth with anger and gripped the armrests tightly. - Damn degenerate!
- Well, well, Father. It's me – your beloved son, Andre! We haven't seen each other in a while – don't you want to hug me? - There was mockery in Anta’s voice.
- I want to shoot you like a pig, scum! - Alejandro, completely losing control of himself, jumped to his feet, but immediately received a strong blow to the stomach and fell back into the chair.
- Don't make any sudden movements, Father. Otherwise, you will die very slowly,” Andre took a step back and disappeared again into the shadows. - The only one who can shoot anyone right now is me. And I have been waiting for this moment for a long time. I know that you read my letters, so I won't explain everything again.
- You won't do it, brat! You don't have what it takes!
A faint laugh came from the corner.
- Six corpses of your friends aren't proof enough that I am capable of doing this?
- Meyers Jr. leaned forward. - Senile old man. I would feel sorry for you if I didn't know what kind of bastard you are... But now it's time to die. Get up!
After some thought, the mayor got up from the armchair and stared with indignant eyes full of hatred at his son's figure.
- Get out of here. We'll take a little walk.
Alejandro frowned in confusion. He was struck by his son’s stupidity – after all, there were plenty of guards outside… Now confident in his impending salvation, the billionaire quickly approached the door and unlocked it. Stepping out of the office, he quickly looked around, and the smile quickly faded from his face.
- Surprised, Father? - Andre's voice was filled with mocking notes again. - It wasn't difficult to write a note asking the new head of security to stop the increased security measures. I knew how to forge your signature even as a child, remember? So you can't expect any help.
- Scum! I should have drowned you when you were a baby! - The mayor tried to turn around, but steel pressed against the back of his head.
- Why didn't you drown me then? Didn't you have the guts? - Ant laughed. - Come on, let's go to the main exit.
Alejandro trembled with overwhelming emotions, but continued on his way, frantically devising a plan for escape. Unfortunately, even the remaining bosses of the mafia did not seem inclined to leave their apartments.
- You will pay for this! They will tear you to pieces! - Meyers Sr. hissed as they entered the main hall. To reach the exit, they only had to overcome the huge staircase, and Alejandro came up with a plan because of that.
- Do you think I am afraid of revenge from your miserable lackeys? Ha!
- You should be! - As the billionaire raised his foot to descend the steps, he suddenly turned and grabbed his son’s arm, pulling away the weapon and trying to push Andre down. However, Ant was quick and almost immediately retaliated by hitting his father in the face. His nose broke, blood gushed from Meyers' nose, he screamed and loosened his grip. Andre jerked free, freeing his hand and delivering a powerful uppercut with his other hand. Alejandro, unable to stand, fell onto the stairs and tumbled down all the flights. After rolling to the bottom, Meyers Sr. stirred and groaned.
- How amusing, Father,” Ant slowly descended the steps. - This is exactly where I wanted to kill you. And you made it easier on yourself.
- Go to hell! - The billionaire barely managed to utter and tried unsuccessfully to crawl.
- I will. But after you... Dad! - Andre knelt down and, pressing the pistol to the back of his father's head, pulled the trigger. The mayor went limp. Ant got up, fired the remaining bullets into Alejandro's back, and threw the gun aside. He walked over to the staircase, opened the door to a long-unused small storage room, took out a canister, and then returned to the murdered man and poured its contents over him.
- Rot in hell, Father," a burning lighter fell on Meyers Sr., and his body was instantly engulfed in flames.
Andre took a few steps back and sat on the steps. A shiver ran through him. Ant ran his hands through his hair, leaned against the stairwell, and laughed. He laughed loudly and heartily. Like a person who has freed himself from his oppressive burden.
The noise of gunfire attracted the attention of the remaining bosses.
- Which one of you idiots will do it? - Ant asked with a malicious smile.
- You crazy psycho! What are you planning now?
- Maybe heaven. I’ve already been to hell. And please, my dear brainless puppets, call me
Xostor.
No more words were spoken. The enraged bosses drew their weapons and opened fire on Andre. His riddled body fell down the stairs. There was still that same mocking smile on his face. Let them think they survived and won – he knows who really triumphed. Revenge did.
