The melodies are back for the anniversary, which is quite logical. I was wondering a year ago why they wouldn't bring back some of the music... And it happened.
In general, here are my impressions of what I've heard (the best ones for me are in bold).
***
**Winter Plains**. This melody was originally pleasant, and a softer arrangement was just what it needed... The new version turned out to be very beautiful and gentle; it immediately evokes a peaceful snowfall... A direct association with winter, in short. I really like it; it's one of the best tracks.
Summer Plains. In the second game, it was okay, but now it sounds new. A very nice arrangement.
Wasteland. As far as I know, this isn't a new melody either. Nevertheless, it fits perfectly with the type of terrain it's meant for (wastelands, I guess).
**Jade Ocean**. This is where the excellent work is: you can immediately feel the marine theme. Again, one of my favorite compositions, even slightly transforming the previous version.
**Naga Jungle**. It turns out that Paul and Rob aren't the only ones who can write excellent music for the "Heroes" series. This masterpiece will play in the Naga jungle, perfectly complementing the concept of the Sanctuary faction. I liked it right away; it's a magnificent melody – mysterious and enigmatic, just like the Nagas themselves.
Blood and Tears. Perfect for the main menu; it's a pleasant melody with echoes of almost all the previous installments. It's an anniversary, after all.
Campaign Menu. The good old third game... A very successful arrangement in the new version, which I enjoyed.
Hero Theme. Each faction's heroes in the campaign have their own separate musical theme. I haven't heard them all, but I liked the one for Sanctuary – Irina's Theme.
**Haven Town**. Another confirmation that someone else is capable of writing wonderful music for "Heroes." A very lively, beautiful, and melodic composition that truly suits the people. Among the town themes, it's one of the best.
Necropolis Town. I haven't quite figured this one out yet. Either the undead have become so carefree and cheerful, or something else... Although the Necromancer faction has changed a lot in the sixth installment, becoming not as repulsive as before, so it's quite possible that such a track is now acceptable.
Inferno Town. A very appropriate and well-chosen melody. In general, I think the demons in this installment are successful (IMHO!), and this ominous music complements them. It seems that in terms of aggression, the underworld is now doing double duty: for itself and the undead. A wonderful composition, a perfect match for the faction.
Stronghold Town. Again, a very successful option. The melody perfectly conveys the spirit of the freedom-loving and rebellious tribes. A hundred percent hit. I especially like the wind instrument part; it exudes serenity.
**Sanctuary Town**. This one immediately stood out in the presentation video; it's beyond praise. I've praised this melody repeatedly everywhere, so my attitude towards it is clear. A special thank you to Paul Romero for this work of art! :)
I also heard the music for the swamp area, but no one has uploaded it yet. It seems to be from the second game, but I'm not sure. Another pleasant melody in the sixth installment's collection.

In general, I'll say that the music in the sixth game sometimes reminds me of the first two "Harry Potter" films; the style and arrangements are very similar.
In conclusion, I'm very happy with the musical part of the game; everything is done with quality and soul.
