Posts from HoMM3 HD is a mod (add-on) for the game Heroes of Might and Magic 3.
I would like to know if it is possible to expand the "Invite Hero" function, specifically: so that when right-clicking on the portrait of the selected hero in the tavern, information about the hero would be displayed (specialization, characteristics, possibly the army that will come with him)? Ideally, it would be the same tooltip that appears when clicking on the two main heroes.
Listen, is it possible to come up with, invent, or create something in HDMod in the near future, like a built-in chat? Like the one used in World of Tanks. So that when HDMod is enabled, a chat automatically appears, maybe at the bottom or in a separate window, similar to the one in World of Tanks.
baratorch, hello! Thank you for the HD mod!

In general, the hero's specialization, starting skills, and parameters do not change. If you want to order someone, you definitely know who. For example, Crag Hack or Galtran. And to simply view a hero's specialization and starting skills, there's PhysMig. Regarding the army, all ordered heroes will come with 1 creature of level 1 from their castle, with the exception of heroes of levels 2-3, who will bring 1 creature of the corresponding level.
If you want to commission someone, you definitely know who to choose. ... And to simply view a hero's stats and starting skills, there's PhysMig.
I'm not insisting that baratorch necessarily implement this feature, I'm just asking – is it possible to do this within a reasonable timeframe/man-hours/capabilities, etc.? After all, a tooltip is already implemented for regular heroes; perhaps it can be done the same way here. But that's up to the author to decide how difficult it is to implement. :)
Nevertheless, thank you for your opinion.

Is it possible to implement this within a reasonable timeframe/work hours/capabilities, etc.? After all, hints for regular heroes are already implemented; perhaps the same approach could be used here. But ultimately, the author knows best how difficult it would be to implement.
However, as I see it, an experienced player would only benefit from this feature in identifying heroes who are not level 1 or who have artifacts, i.e., former enemy heroes.
Hey, is it possible to come up with, invent, or, well, I don't know, create something like a built-in chat in NDMod in the near future? Like the one used in VT. So that when NDMod is enabled, the chat is automatically activated, appearing either at the bottom or in a separate window, similar to the VT chat.

Actually, I think I mentioned a long time ago that I'm not trying to "kill" Warlock. Let ASM implement the SoD gameplay instead.
How great does "kill Warlock" sound! :D But even if you wanted to, you're too late.
ASM started killing it a long time ago.
By placing a huge burden on it. And completely ignoring his own project.
За то что нейтралы не бегают за единичкой, для меня это уже стоит того

Is it possible to implement a feature that saves the in-game chat log to a file?

It would be worth elaborating on.
For example, a game situation where one player passes through an area without defeating the guards. He writes in the chat. The opponent replies that it's not a big deal. And after the match, he demands victory.
A more valuable feature would be something else. When you press a button, the last messages from the chat would be displayed. Because they disappear very quickly, and you don't always have time to read them.
But why are logs saved in ICQ? It's the same here. There are often situations where a controversial situation is resolved in the in-game chat, and then everyone tries to take credit.

Все в ней нулево и кукольно.
