Regarding the topic – in the Demiurges game there’s a race of synthetics; many things from that game resemble many things from this one (I'm talking about the Squats race). Also, King's Bounty has plenty of goblins with mechanical devices.

There is only one goblin unit with mechanical devices: a goblin with a catapult. However, the dwarves have a truly large number of mechanical units.
