I didn't think markers could be so different. What's the point of playing with two factions that have the same units? (although it seems like someone just wants to troll me).

It's not about the RACES or the CLASSES, but about the game's dynamics. When a single spell from a mage wipes out half of the enemy army, a cannon tower kills an infantry unit with one shot, and you can have full-fledged naval battles at sea, that's much better than having three thousand health points for a unit, ugly cubic graphics, and a focus on leveling up heroes.
The first one is a lively RTS; the second one is a boring game with RPG elements. But it's better to play a full-fledged single-player RPG or WoW than to force yourself to play something mediocre.

The third War is good as an editor. Because the skirmish mode there is really quite monotonous. But, for example, Castle Fight is a rather interesting map.

I only played the third game, even though I completed campaigns in various expansion packs and played it casually for a while. I absolutely don't like Warcraft 3. And, by the way, I rarely complain about the graphics (Heroes 5, Civilization 4 and 5; I can't think of anything else right now), but the graphics in that game are terrible.
