I went to see this film with Major Vikhr, and thankfully, our geographical location allowed it. We actually wanted to see it in a regular theater, but in our city, there were no non-3D showings. As for the 3D itself, who said it creates special effects? If there aren't any special effects to begin with, then no amount of 3D will help. In this case, it's "like in Avatar" in the sense that it was filmed with the same cameras, but the depth leaves much to be desired. During the screening, I even tried taking off the glasses - the image barely doubled, even though it should have been 3D. As for the film itself, the positives include some beautiful shots of underwater and above-water caves, and the R rating. The negatives include a slightly drawn-out beginning and forced, unnatural dialogue (mostly in the beginning). I don't know how realistically the actions of people in this situation are portrayed, as I haven't been in such a situation myself, fortunately, so I can't attribute it to either the positives or the negatives. Overall, the film is worth watching, but I wouldn't put it in the "must-see" category.

It's the most effective and obvious advertisement for the Western lifestyle. People have achieved everything, so the heroes of the film have a different perception. In order to find a hole in an underwater cave, almost everyone dies in the end. Because otherwise, without the thrill, life would be bland for them.
There are many inconsistencies, I lost count. At the beginning of the film, a female diver, a diving legend, a seasoned shark, suddenly panics and dies in the cave.
Hmm... I'm not sure she would have lived to become a legend and one of the best if she had that kind of mentality: she would have either given up or died earlier, that's a fact.
Before that, she and the hero of the film were crawling into a narrow hole, it was difficult for one person to squeeze through... they barely made it. And then the guy pulled her back out without any problems, how? The impression that it was filmed in a studio remains throughout the film. That is, as if the heroes are dying, a tragic scene - but you understand that 20 people from the film crew are standing nearby, the camera is half a meter away, and the director is shouting "I don't believe it!".
But despite all the inconsistencies, it was filmed with soul, it was light and enjoyable.

Criminal dialogues, essentially meaningless, but within the framework of the film, they are deep and wise.
If it were filmed a little less talentedly, it would be nonsense, but as it is, it's definitely a masterpiece.
