The Sanctum in 3D. My 3D-hating tendencies were further fueled after seeing that, besides bubbles, birds, and dust particles, the other 3D delights didn't progress beyond the images on the back cover of a notebook, which depict a small piece of paper in a specific shape in the foreground. I thought it would be much better. Where are your effects, Vyshanchik?! Was it the same in Avatar? As for the film, I liked that it wasn't just another blockbuster with shooting, slashing, and running around, but it wasn't very interesting overall. A six out of ten, at best. And there are exactly four beautiful moments: the first and second holes in the ground; the helicopter flight over the trees; the perspective of the beach in the last seconds. Oh yes! I also thought it was a science fiction film, but I was disappointed. However, I don't care - I had a free ticket.

It was quite predictable that the film critics on Kinopoisk would be looking for deep meaning. "Will you overcome yourself???"

I went to see this film with Major Vikhr, and thankfully, our geographical location allowed it. We actually wanted to see it in a regular theater, but in our city, there were no non-3D showings. As for the 3D itself, who said it creates special effects? If there aren't any special effects to begin with, then no amount of 3D will help. In this case, it's "like in Avatar" in the sense that it was filmed with the same cameras, but the depth leaves much to be desired. During the screening, I even tried taking off the glasses - the image barely doubled, even though it should have been 3D. As for the film itself, the positives include some beautiful shots of underwater and above-water caves, and the R rating. The negatives include a slightly drawn-out beginning and forced, unnatural dialogue (mostly in the beginning). I don't know how realistically the actions of people in this situation are portrayed, as I haven't been in such a situation myself, fortunately, so I can't attribute it to either the positives or the negatives. Overall, the film is worth watching, but I wouldn't put it in the "must-see" category.
