He is 33 and I’m 26. I moved in with him a year ago because I wanted to take things to the next level of our relationship. In the past year, I’ve come to realize he has no ambition to move out for at least 2 years (when he graduates from school…or so he says). There’s talk of moving across country when he graduates, but lately things have been seeming a bit overwhelming, and the future is not looking as bright as it once did. The holidays were rough this year as I was laid off from my job and bills have been piling up for me.
He lives a very privileged life. He comes form a family that doesn’t mind paying for everything: he has a brand new car that they essentially bought for him, car insurance is paid for, phone is paid for, college, he literally doesn’t have to pay for ANYTHING. I however, come from a family that has never really helped me out with much. I left home at the age of 18 and have pretty much been on my own since. I never got any help with school, health expenses, anything…
There’s an obvious huge inequality that exists within the relationship. I also owe my boyfriend over $2000 and he’s been holding this over my head for sometime now. He makes it clear quite often that he’s more privileged than I am. It’s beginning to bother me that he seems to still be treated like a child by his parents. I’m afraid that all of this differences will ultimately ruin the relationship. i even admit to feeling a bit jealous that he has everything handed to him so easily, especially at his age.

To top it off, he refuses to work. What do I do!?!?
