Posts from Discussion about the Stronghold faction.
Goblins can definitely be melee fighters. In fact, mages usually shoot as well. By the way, why did you decide that Orcs will have three archers?
And hitting the enemy with boomerangs is a good thing in melee combat:D. Mages may shoot, but you should keep in mind that now there are 2 types of damage in the game, unlike Heroes 5, because Heroes 6 added magical damage; I think all mages will deal magical damage;). Laboule said...

The Cyclops will throw a club.
The Cyclops will throw an upgraded Cyclops, and then the latter will stun him with a club:D

Archers are for noobs.
Admit that you use them; everyone uses them, and there's no way to avoid it...

Boomerang, as I think, is more dangerous for goblins than for their argons :D. The enemy can dodge, but when the boomerang returns... :)
No, the cyclops will ask his comrades to hit him with a club. Then he flies up and... lands in the middle of the enemies :D. And what, it's cooler than any stone!
Of course, Morning uses archers. If you remove archers from each faction, there will be no one to play as . Or do you use them in melee combat :)?
It was many pages ago. A true commander and skilled player deftly defeats the opponent in close combat, rather than clumsily gathering melee units around archers, skipping turns and shooting at every single neutral creature, yawning and rubbing their eyes in each battle.
A true commander, and a player as well, takes care of their troops. And archers help them do that best of all . So, do you manage without archers at all?
By the way, why do you think Orcs should have three archers? They are primarily a melee faction, they don't need that many .
Goblins are "degenerate" Orcs, who were originally "failures" in the Orc experiment, born from the blood of lesser demons (mostly Imps). Goblins are small (between 4 and 5 foot tall), scraggy, physically weak, but very swift and agile. The average Goblin is devious, cowardly, and stupid. They rarely attack unless having the numbers of a mob, preferring sneak attacks and (poorly constructed) booby traps. In the Orc armies, Goblins serve as servants, scouts, skirmishers, and sometimes sacrifices for the Shamans, missiles for the Cyclops to hurl, or even food if rations become too low...
That is, here...
...In the Orc army, goblins are used as servants, skirmishers, sometimes as sacrifices for shamans, ammunition for cyclops....
Yes. Maneuver and calculate attacks, and that's it. Although, in Heroes of Might and Magic V, they perfected the autobattle to the point where the player doesn't even have to strain themselves, but can just enjoy the spectacle of their thousands of troops shooting defenseless peasants from a corner.

A true commander wins using any available methods with minimal losses. This is what tactical art consists of. However, it's unclear how such a debate can even relate to neutral creatures; they are just fodder for gaining experience.

I don't think so; in the game, boomerangs or arrows, etc., always hit their target. It's even strange. Although the developers have their own vision for the game... A strange use of archers; I don't think anyone in their right mind would go for that :D... Why argue with Morningstar? It's pointless, and besides, everyone has their own view of life. For example, I think that playing only with archers is stupid, and you need to move forward, using archers to cover the warriors.

Yes, I agree with that, but sometimes, to win, you have to make sacrifices:(... The orcs will have 3 archers; insiders have confirmed it:smile01:

Here. A more tactically savvy person, it's obvious. And this:

is just a justification for using primitive, uninspired "tactics." You'll also tell us how you replay battles in single-player, calling it skillful command of troops. "In real life, no one would send warriors into an attack without предварительной reconnaissance!"
A "cyclops creation" video appeared in the orc info. The cyclops surprised me—it's very disproportionate, with one arm several times larger than the other. Most importantly, 2 very interesting features from H5 were ported to H6, namely the laser and wall-breaking, which is very pleasing. In general, it's an interesting unit; I liked it more than the cyclops from H5

The Cyclops surprised me – it's very disproportionate, one arm is many times larger than the other.
This is called perspective; one arm is further "away from us," which is why it looks smaller. So, it's safe to say that its arms are "normal," and there isn't "one that's bigger and one that's smaller."
The main thing is that they transferred two very interesting features from Heroes 5 to Heroes 6, namely the laser and the ability to break walls, which is very pleasing.
The laser was already in Heroes 1-2, and the ability to break walls was in 3-4.
"Engines of Siege"
A literal translation is incorrect because "Siege Engine" translates to "Siege Machine" (or something similar).
This is called perspective; one of the hands is further "from us," which is why it looks smaller.
Maybe, but I still have some doubts.
Lasers were already in Heroes 1-2, and destroying walls was in 3-4.
I know that, but in 1-2 and 3-4, there was only one feature, while in 5, they developed it, albeit through an alternative.
A legendary refusal, because Siege Engine translates to "Siege Machine" (or something similar).
It can be translated that way too...

In the fourth game? Cyclops? Did they destroy walls? O_o But the local cyclops look great and are very powerful. By the time of the fifth game, they had become thinner and more slender.
