Help, I can't figure out what to do – I've tried loading all the "Heroes 5" games and both versions of "Hammers of Fate," but I have the same problem: the game crashes (restarts) as soon as I disable auto-battle, but it plays normally with auto-battle enabled. What a paradox... what should I do? Please, someone help me... Video card: Radeon9250 128Mb, 1500MB of RAM, the processor is a bit weak at 1.3GHz, but that shouldn't cause it to restart every time.

Do you have a licensed or pirated copy? If it's a pirated copy, then this is quite possible. It looks more like a bug in the game than a compatibility issue. If you installed a nocd patch, it's most likely due to that. Try downloading a different executable file or buy a licensed copy.

Well, the thing is, it runs fine on my laptop, and my daughter is playing it right now. But I can't get it to run properly on my desktop. It's some kind of glitch... I'll take the laptop from her right now:mad:.

What version of Windows are you using? If it's Windows 7, you need the DirectX 9 library (it's on the game's original disc). Please describe the crash issue in more detail. Anything could be causing it. It could be due to RAM, a faulty installation, or something else. Does this happen with any other games, or just this one? In general, please provide more specific information, and then we can draw conclusions.

Heroes 5 version - "Stronghold" 3.1 with the "Epic War Age" mod. When creating a custom map, the game crashes.

The system requirements are more than sufficient, and I've tried reinstalling the game. What should I do?

Download custom maps and enjoy the game. What's so great about randomness?

sometimes, you just feel like experimenting with different hero builds. And in situational maps, the build usually adapts to the situation.

[PROBLEM] crash on Win Vista (32)..
Guys, help me out.. A couple of days ago, I downloaded Heroes of Might and Magic V - Tribes of the East for a friend on her Samsung R508 laptop.. She has Win XP - it works fine... They played for 4 hours..
I came home, and I have the same laptop.. I installed it.. I launched it.. The game started.. I launched a scenario.. It also worked fine.. On the map, as soon as I enter a Castle, it either crashes immediately or within 2 seconds, and I'm kicked back to the desktop.. It suggests, simply, to look for a solution to the problem online..

The same thing happened with the regular Heroes 5.. It crashes specifically when entering a Castle..
Has anyone encountered this??

Are the computer's specifications sufficient for the game?

When entering the Castle, its rather complex model is loaded. I think it would be a good idea to update DirectX, or even better, upgrade to Windows 7.

2 GB DDR2
x4500 - integrated...

but it's enough for the game... especially with medium settings...
it runs great on a girl's XP, so I don't understand the difference...
only in Windows...
The latest DirectX is installed...

I was able to play Heroes 5 normally, and Hammers of Fate worked fine, but when I installed Tribes of the East, it doesn't work at all... :eek:
It installed without any problems, but when I launch the game, it crashes to the desktop. /OS - Windows 7 x32/
