So, if their strength is roughly equal based on the description... I'm most impressed by the skeleton-lich combination. The worst unit shouldn't be comparable to a mage or archer. They could have made a level zero (like in Heroes of Might and Magic III), where skeletons and peasants could be sent, etc.
