Yesterday in the VT chat, a certain ----------47----------- appeared. He introduced himself as the author of the well-known Inferno walkthroughs. Suggested we play. First, in SoD with a 1-minute timer on 200% all-random. Then he said VT is also fine, even though he’s unfamiliar with it, and 200% doesn’t work (though I was hoping to duke it out on the crown map :)), he suggested a timer of 4500+500, and he didn’t object. Template 47 chose 8mm6.

I set the settings to SoD standards, leaving scrolls and morale on so my opponent would find it more familiar to play. Conflux in VT without double growth of birds, meaning it’s somewhat weaker, while Barbarians are stronger due to the wolf upgrade at 111. I decided not to restart, and he didn’t either. Wolf upgrade, 2 money-making buildings, I run through the pond to the stables, 4 heroes.

113 the external dwelling fell, I lost a wolf and 12 goblins. Piquedram found a detour around the wood through rough terrain. A trash fight lasting 15 minutes, Gretchin with 6 birds against 38 Master Grendels. After the first round, the bird has 2 HP, but I got out without losses.

114 I secure the resources, Terek is now by the elf lottery with GS on a wolf. I colored the Goblin external dwelling with Ain. It’s worrying that the passage might lead to the corner village. Judging by the turn timings, my opponent isn’t slacking off either — he’s already killed his AI opponent.

115 I lose three wolves to 20 elves, half of them upgraded, Terek reveals the Devil dwelling. At home, I foolishly build Efreet instead of the Prefecture (result — minus one bird in the final battle).

116 — I build the Prefecture, “now we’re saved, we can calmly assess the situation” (quote) 47. With the Efreet, I secure the resources and level up Ain, I set up a chain to the Devil external dwelling, guarded by Earth Elementals. I position Piquedram so he can later rush ahead on a Devil.

117 I transfer the Efreet, break into the Devil dwelling, and take the Dwarf Cottage for 15. I flee with Piquedram — and lo and behold, there’s Alkin with his full army. On his turn, Piquedram is attacked by Alkin, around level 5-8, I chip away at his army a bit and buy myself out. At home, after some thought, I build Ogres — the most efficient choice given the situation.

121 at home, the market — trade, I buy another Efreet, wolves, Piquedram, no money for Gundula, Terek retrieves Kirra. In the army: 17 Orcs, 19 Goblins, 60 Imps, 2 Efreet, 2 Devils, 6 Birds, 33 Wolves. Level 3 with basic Learning and Resistance.

On his turn, the final battle: Alkin has 5 Magogs, 24 Storm Elementals, 26 Pixies, 17 Water Elementals, 40+ Imps, 5 Fire Elementals. I go straight for the Magogs with the wolves, finish them in the second round, set up a barrier squad, and gradually destroy the army. Toward the end, a lucky Resistance procs on the Devil, so in the end all Orcs, 10 Wolves, the Devil, 2 Efreet, and some Imps survive. After some thought, Blue surrenders.

I’d like to note some quite good moves for a VT newcomer. Choosing Alkin as the main hero instead of Kirra. Alkin visiting the Witch Hut before the final battle. Learning taken in Alkin’s 3rd slot. Thanks for the game!

But where is the guarantee that this is actually a legendary game about heroes, and not just someone's clone? :confused:

I unfortunately forgot how to take screenshots. But this is another funny story. Today I was browsing the messages on the World forum, and a topic about Heroes 5 appeared: "patch 3.1 - we've been waiting for it," I read only "we've been waiting for it" and immediately saw the author of the last post with a brilliant nickname... Oh my god. I was just cracking up, laughing out loud, and probably scared the neighbors...)))

Regarding the moderation policy, bans, etc... For the sake of an experiment, I registered on my favorite sports website, Football.ua, under a provocative nickname, "bydla_glora_shkalata," and within less than 24 hours, I posted over 50 inappropriate comments, bordering on degeneracy. For example, instead of "Drogba takes responsibility..." I wrote the "witty" comment "Drogba takes it in his mouth" – basically, everything that the corresponding group of people writes. So, I was banned quickly, but not immediately; only after I started heavily insulting Real and Mourinho (by the way, I actually respect them) did they start closely monitoring and deleting my comments with warnings. In short, I scored a 14 out of 10 (10 is a 70-day ban :D). But here's the catch: dozens of other users are writing similar things in huge quantities, and they have hundreds or thousands of comments, and they don't even get a warning!

Decided to watch some movie in the morning. Dug up a page with VODs online, browsed, oh, a Redwait game for castle, let's watch... I'm watching, it's a weak game with unnecessary risk, extra moves, weak battles, etc... well, Red, I expected more from you :rolleyes: , but I noticed a similarity in the style of play with my own, and the overall strategy seems normal.
