New here? I'm Roha — want a quick tour?
I like the architecture in the 5th part – it’s the best and, at the same time, the darkest part of Europe. But the atmosphere and imagery appealed to me most in the 3rd part of the series...

My opinion is rather the opposite: the architecture in the fifth part, although beautiful, is too fantastical. IMHO, the spires are an overkill. And the buildings don't match each other in terms of design. And the only building that looks reasonably formal, the vampire dwelling, seems out of place among all this fantastical stuff.)))
In the fifth part, perhaps the best combat units. But the architecture is best in the third. As for the fourth... it's neither here nor there.
But I can't help but notice that it might be worth discussing what the authors (artists) wanted to convey with the city's design. I don't think Nival has any problems with this.

I've always thought that the Necropolis design in the fifth game is an exaggeration of a key element of Gothic architecture – its verticality. For a modern person, Gothic architecture is usually associated with the dichotomy of life and death. That's it!
I don't really like it in the 5th game, but it's the best I've seen. I'm voting for 5.
Here's what a Necropolis might look like in the sixth installment.
