Watched a Japanese splatter film. I won't mention the title (I mentioned this movie in one of the threads).
As expected from a film of this genre, it's quite trashy, but not worse than most American movies. Lots of blood and limbs; fairly realistic insides. At the same time, the violence is deliberately exaggerated, and the film is accompanied by dark humor.
I watched it in the original with English subtitles.
I've noticed that I can handle these kinds of films quite well (in the sense that many people start to grimace, or if the situation is really bad, they cover their faces or turn away).

"Where Dreams Lead" (1998)
It's been a while since I last watched a movie. Maybe I was just lazy, or I didn't want to waste my time... But I didn't regret watching it for the first time :)

Overall, this film is about all-conquering love, but it's not that simple. The film is skillfully imbued with subtle psychology in the struggle against pain and suffering. Here, a person is an entire world that they have created for themselves. And even they themselves can become who they have always dreamed of. A beautiful world of images surrounds us (and the graphics are great, by the way)... but how can you save a person whose world is an icy abyss of water, whose home is a kingdom of shattered hopes? You have to become a part of this world... and surrender in exchange for love. And only then can you understand that this home is a blossoming picture from within, which just needs to be turned the right way.

"Sweeney Todd, the Demon Barber of Fleet Street." I happened to see an ad for it on one of the channels, remembered that I was recommended this movie, and decided to watch it. It's a very good and dark musical, and I don't regret watching it. Those who live in other time zones will be able to watch it today.

"Ward No. 6" (v.2009). It made an impression, although a few months ago I would have dismissed it as utter nonsense...

The second "Iron Man" movie. The first film was quite enjoyable at the time due to its somewhat parodic nature compared to the typical, bland superhero blockbusters, and its polished presentation.
Now, I watched the sequel – an original, terrible version, spiced up with rudimentary subtitles. And it's unclear what languages they were in. In the film, there were Russian subtitles, then some awful dialogue in Russian with an accent, then in Spanish; the subtitles translated only one word out of several, and there were some very strange words in some European languages. Overall, it was probably the most disgusting version I've ever seen. And all because I couldn't find where to get a Russian copy. So, the film wasn't worth its fifty minutes. I hope to stumble upon a Russian DVD quality version someday because, overall, the movie is quite good, on par with the first part.

Morning, I watched it in IMAX – it was amazing! Don't watch it on small screens – respect yourselves!!!

Rewatched the "Matrix" trilogy. The first film is good, with interesting ideas and an original setting. I understood things that I couldn't grasp during my first viewing when I was young and naive. The second film didn't leave any impression on me back then, and it still doesn't now. It's a meaningless jumble of secondary characters introduced for just ten minutes, tons of special effects, and pseudo-philosophical speeches that don't carry any meaning. A complete waste of two hours. The third one is better than the second; there's almost no plot, but there are gigabytes of pathos, illogicality, and tasteless orchestral music. A typical sci-fi action movie. Overall, my feelings haven't changed over time. The first one is good, the second is pathetic and miserable, and the third is somewhere in the middle. And it's all because you shouldn't stretch the narrative into a trilogy just to make money, and you shouldn't come up with a weak plot when all the interesting ideas have already been filmed.

I actually like all three of them, as they feel like one continuous storyline.
The second part tells a lot about the very essence of the Matrix and everything else.

Watch the movie "Losers" – it's a good way to spend time, but it's not a masterpiece.

Ben X. A one-time watch. It's interesting to watch about nerds, but not so much about autistic people.

Over the past four days, I watched four movies. One of them was in a movie theater, "Inception." A film about controlling dreams. A film that provided a lot of food for thought. Definitely adding it to my list of favorite movies. "The A-Team." A good action movie, even if the plot is weak, but it's filled with pure action and some humor. The scene with the tank falling is remarkable. I watched it with a small group of friends on a rainy day – very suitable conditions, by the way. "Exam." I watched it after participating in a "Mafia" game based on this film. A good representative of the psychological thriller genre, which I enjoy. "We Are Legends" / "Adventures in an Empty Paris." There's a bit of a parody of the movie "I Am Legend." A decent comedy (like many others – unfortunately, that's the genre).

I finished watching the historical detective series "Yesenin." Overall, it's reminiscent of the typical series churned out by ORT every season, but the quality of the execution is good – it features the same cast of Russian actors that we've seen many times before – Bezrukov, Khlebnikov, and so on. There were no cardboard tanks to be seen :) What attracted me was the historical aspect. It was interesting to compare facts from his biography, poems with the depicted events, and also to observe Yesenin's behavior. In my opinion, his sociotype was portrayed well, and that's something to be happy about :) At the same time, a detective storyline was unfolding in parallel: it's 1985, the Lubyanka, and some colonel becomes interested in Yesenin's death... So, over 12 episodes, he searches for clues with his assistant, Varya, and in the very end, he is given a meeting with a living witness to the poet's death. The colonel rushes to the meeting, telling Varya on the way that he wants to meet her in the evening at the cinema. He finds the witness already dead from a heart attack... but he left him a gift – a real act of investigation into the cause of death. That is, direct evidence of a violent death. The delighted colonel drives home, but on the way, an accident occurs on a slippery bridge, and the car falls down with an explosion... Varya remained waiting at the cinema.

I didn't like the beginning at all... The A-Team is a decent movie, but I liked Losers more.

Nihon Chinbotsu (Japan Sinks) is a decent movie. My expectations were met – 2012 is just another plagiarism and nothing more.

Watched "The Expendables"... Stallone is a complete failure as a director... The movie was only worth watching once... The dialogues are pointless. And, as usual, there's a lot of action.
