Day one. Time for confession.

Dear Count, recently an unknown rider appeared in our town and reported about two bodies found nearby. The victims turned out to be two local residents. After this news, some of the townspeople panicked and left the town, while the rest were gripped by fear. People are afraid to go out at night and open their doors; they have started to communicate less with each other because they don't trust each other. There is no help from the governor; he sits in his mansion and rarely appears in town. It's all because of rumors about vampires, who are allegedly involved in the murder of the two. At first, I didn't believe it, but after tonight, I started to have doubts. The guards respond to every report from the townspeople about suspicious individuals and incidents, so I know everything that is happening in the town and can tell you.

Today, Crabby was found dead in his house. The mutilated body of the owner was lying on the floor. Strangely, there was almost no blood. Crabby's death upset the residents and frightened many even more. A book about little people was found at the crime scene. No one knows if it belonged to the owner or not.

But the most interesting thing happened at WhiteLizard's house. At night, a person was seen near his house, and shortly after, one of the passersby heard a scream. The lover of night walks got scared and hurried home, but soon he returned, but not alone. When he knocked on the door, the owner of the house opened it. He looked a little disheveled, his hair was messy, and there was a feather on his head. The neighbors tried to find out what had happened, but WhiteLizard was not talkative and could not explain anything properly. Among the curious townspeople were Gur and two of his friends. Apparently, some know how to relax even in dangerous times.

The guards questioned the residents about the night's events, and here's what they learned:
Xostor reported that someone knocked on his door at night, but he didn't open it, and the stranger left. Nebo told about a night visit from a neighbor, and Vegtam complained about a mysterious shadow he saw near his house. And only Kash looked calm and radiated optimism.

It looks disfigured, and there's almost no blood, maybe vampires were involved.
It's strange that there was only one murder. The werewolf was either hiding or blocked.
Someone was flirting with Lizard )), oh dear, oh dear ))
And people probably visited Gur to hang out and drink together.
They were probably checking or protecting Hostor, it seems to be the same for me.
I don't know about Vegatama... maybe it was a check.

The first thing that comes to mind is Jonathan Swift's book "Gulliver's Travels."

The newspaper seems fairly straightforward.
Krabby was killed by vampires (no blood, they drained him).
The Lizard became a werewolf, or, less likely, was simply attacked, but a healer, priest, or someone else intervened.
A couple of people visited Guru.
Someone defended Kasha.
Nebo or Vegtama were investigating.
Hostor is unclear; possibly an Armorer, who knows...
I couldn't find Bloka, although the Lizard's description is brief. Maybe it's him?
The Scholar is also unclear at the moment...

This indicates something; we need to think about what or who it refers to. I don't think it's about Lycanthropy, although who knows. There was also a scream before that, so it's more likely that they were trying to kill someone.

Yes, that's my first association too. The second was "elves," but I looked it up, and they aren't all small; there are also large species in Ireland.

A werewolf cannot be blocked. He has that ability. And vampires couldn't kill him; he moves ahead of them.
So, since there's no kill from the werewolf, then...
1) Either he was hiding.
2) Or he turned someone into a werewolf.

Perhaps the werewolf's victim was resurrected by a doctor. Or maybe a healer visited Cash, which is more likely. There are, of course, many books about little people. I don't have any ideas yet.

Okay, let me summarize some conclusions, mostly for myself.
Crabby was killed by vampires; the book about little people is a clue to the murderer.
WhiteLizard - the clue is a feather; the scream is an attempt at murder or some other action. Perhaps he was attacked by a werewolf and is now a lycanthrope, or maybe a scientist turned him into a zombie.
Gur - a couple in love came to visit.
Xostor
Sky - some kind of checks?
Vegtam - monitoring a child.
Kesh - protection or a doctor's visit.

Maybe a guard came to me for additional evidence?
Maybe they were blocking Haven?

Well, here's what we can say for now:
1. Most likely, someone wanted to harm Lizard or do something similar; the second option (a crude one): the screams were from a Lothario's failed attempt.
2. I think Cash was being protected.
3. Gura had a couple of visitors.
4. Since they're neighbors, maybe he's a well-wisher?
5. Vega was probably being checked, and by elimination, it seems that Hosa was being treated...
and regarding Crabbe: a paper collector came to visit him
overall, there are many such books: the assortment is large, and regarding the feather: either it's from a pillow or some stray bird dropped it.
