If we consider only the number of available dwellings, it's better not to take extra Gnoll dwellings.

If I have flagged 1 external dwelling of wyverns, 1 of harpies (vasei), 2 of gnolls, what is taken into account when calculating the probability of creatures appearing in the Dungeon Portal of Summoning: the number of external dwellings or the number of types of external dwellings? Thanks in advance for the answers! =)
Captain
But there is such a feature - if you take an external dwelling and build a Portal of Summoning on the same day, it will contain the same unit whose external dwelling you just flagged.
Tested it, here are the results.
1. On the same day, we take 9 external dwellings of Troglodytes, 1 external dwelling of dragons, and build the portal. Out of 20 times, always Troglodytes.
2. On the same day, we take 1 external dwelling of Troglodytes and 1 external dwelling of dragons, and build the portal.
16 times Troglodytes, 4 times dragons.
3. On the first day, we take 1 external dwelling of Troglodytes; on the second day, the external dwelling of dragons and the portal. 5 times Troglodytes and 5 times dragons.
4. On the first day, we take 9 external dwellings of Troglodytes; on the second day, the external dwelling of dragons and the portal. 5 times Troglodytes out of 5 attempts.
5. On the first day, we take 9 external dwellings of dragons; on the second day, 1 external dwelling of Troglodytes and the portal.
4 times dragons and 1 time Troglodytes.
My conclusions are as follows.
1. The number of external dwellings of each type matters.
2. The feature mentioned by Captain does not work.
3. The type of external dwelling affects the probability (possibly, lower-level external dwellings have a higher probability).
What the captain said sounds like nonsense :) But there's another trick. We have three different external dwellings. We capture a dungeon with a portal without entering it and make a save. Now, from the same save, different monsters will appear each time. (Kluka showed me this).
I played Tower a bit in generation 7-8, and it consistently gave me 1-2 cons near the castle. Is this just how the generator works, or is there some kind of dependency?
For example, ramparts often give unique units and wood resources.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but Rampart has a DOUBLE external dwelling for horses, just like Conflux, which is why they can be seen more often. The rest seem to have an equal chance of appearing.
In VT (presumably referring to a game version or mod), I will probably remove the duplicate external dwelling at Rampart for balance purposes… duplicates have already been removed from Soprov.
Mods, why are you moving old threads? I can't find anything here!
Slava, if it’s not visible in the Tournaments section, then the thread is probably only here because it has lost its relevance.

Times change... something new appears, and something else fades into the background.
In Heroes, there's a superstition: The player whose stronger monster "goes" during map generation is more likely to win (I'm talking about the animation). I'm curious, has this ever happened to anyone?
My personal observation – which has always been 100% accurate in my games: the blue Castle always has hidden resources, at least one (while the red one often has none!). I don't know why this is the case.
Кто к нам с пером придёт, тот от пера и погибнет!:smile51:
I used to think it had some kind of impact, but then I realized it was just my silly thoughts.
