Why do you care who leaves the forum and why they are leaving temporarily? Maybe the person needs to, or has other things to do, so they leave.

Consequently, on level 123, with 9 Sultan units, I took the maximum Hive with 4 champions, 32 pikemen, 8 swordsmen, Alkin, 2-6, advanced offense, expert armor, and no book! It was tough, but I managed to do it. It's a shame I didn't have time to buy a book; I took the risk, hoping not to need the maximum Hive level! With healing, I would have lost at most 1 horse, I think...
Cleared it on the first try, got out with 3 steeds and 12 vivas.
It's consistently possible to keep 3 steeds, so it's definitely doable.
