I've tried it, but it's hard to play. For some reason, the Castle lags (it's the only one for me)
The Castle is weak because practically all heroes specialize in units.
They work great against creepers, but have nothing against an opponent other than griffins. Their only hope is Training, but there's nowhere to get money. Upgrading a peasant to an archer costs more than buying several archers.
Competitive only on wealthy maps; on others, they can be disregarded.
And consequently, they suffer from ATB. Since griffins don't always get the first turn (though they should always), losses are practically inevitable. Growth is small starting from Griffins. Priests are a completely pointless unit. They aren't inclined toward magic; they prefer defense. The hero is a terrible cheater with his Holy Charge.
But if Tyris, Orin, or Christian make it onto your list of favorite heroes, then that's your choice!
If you have any specific questions, ask and I'll answer.

If you can, write something about leveling up Haven heroes and their unique abilities. Official tabular data isn't very easy to understand.

Well, what can I say.
They are obsessed with defence. They practically never put points into Spellpower and knowledge, and they don't mess around with attack either. Units are cheap, but peasants are objectively expensive. 22 gold for these fellows is simply indefensible. Even +1 gold per day won't solve it. Waiting 22 days for this miracle to pay off...
True, for one hero they bring +2 gold and he also starts with Recuirement (increased growth for levels 1-3).
The optimal hero for the game is Christian (Kei) because he wipes everyone out thanks to his specialization in Ballista.
Holy Charge hits hard. Sometimes even harder than a fireball. So Ballista+Charge is just what's needed. I didn't check the training prices, but it feels objectively expensive. The griffin upgrade simply pulls the rug from under your feet—6000 gold for level 4 is steep.
On the other hand, the cheapest level 7 unit is the Angel: 10000 + 15 ore.

And this video is a special topic in itself :) In it, the archangel is closer to the archangels from Heroes 4. But in reality, it's "she" :) By the way, in the screenshots, it's the Archangel (I wonder, how do you call a woman an archangel? The word is masculine...):)

Then why did they even create this video if it's not the case in the game beta itself?

I don't know. But even before the video, there were already artworks. I have no idea why the video was created.
