numOne (blue, swamp, Wystan, Tazar) draw Hermit (red, inferno, Pyr, Pyr), balance, 226
The game turned out to be Epic, with three full-fledged battles and endless skirmishes between scout heroes, so I’ll write a bit about it. :)
The spawn was generally not bad - an external dwelling of cows, 3 crypts, but the problem was that the treasure zone turned out to be not on the road, but actually on the very edge of the respawn, beyond the mountains. Moreover, I found out about this on turn 121 when the enemy’s scout hero showed up at my base from the unexplored side of the supposed treasure zone.:smile32: (as it turned out, the map was generated a bit crookedly, this passage shouldn’t have existed). Without thinking long, I head over to visit, picking up a 2/2 sword along the way, Tazar with stats 4 8 2 2, no spell book, with 50 lizardmen, 13 cows, 4 ducks. By this time Vova had 2 native secondary skills, but Pyr was nowhere to be seen. I captured one town, Tazar runs along the road to the enemy’s capital, but on his turn Pyr attacks with stats 9 9 3 3, mass slow, 50 gogs, 17 demons, 7 pit fiends, 4 efreet, and 60 imps. In this battle, I was, as they say, thoroughly beaten, so I retreat, having saved all the bulls, ducks, and 20 lizardmen. I don’t even think about getting upset - there’s still a passage through a portal and 2 naga banks, and then I can confidently head into the sand (I have expert pathfinding), even though it’s a bit far away. Ignissa with attack 7 stays to guard the captured enemy town, having bought 2 psychic elementals from the mercenary camp :) - she held out for about a week, but then they eventually drove her out of there.
At the start of the third week, I first clear the max, then the min naga banks, painted another inferno town via teleport, and bought a spell book there. I upgrade the bulls and head to the treasure zone. I break through the guards (Green Dragons), finally get the log, light it up with a nearby lookout tower, and see that the enemy is already operating there in full force. The only consolation was that he was apparently moving slowly through the sand, and I’d manage to snatch something. In the end, from the sand I only grab 2 boxes (one with 60 skeleton warriors, the other with the entire 2nd level), but after breaking through from the other side to the necro castle on the rocks, I saw a lot of tasty stuff and went my own way, leaving the enemy to clean up the treasure zone (which, by the way, turned out to be quite poor).
In short, by turn 221 I have 6 towns and a town portal, the enemy has 4 towns and destructive magic with earth elemental summon. I’m looking for a fight, and on turn 225, under the walls of the enemy capital, Pyr attacks me:

Vova douses me with rain and lightning, and I, after thinning out the enemy’s troops a bit, use teleport (which helped incredibly, since the battlefield was very crooked) to send my main bull stack straight into the thick of it. After a fierce battle, I’m left with 20 bulls, a couple of lizardmen, and gnolls, while the enemy is left with summoned elementals. With a clear conscience, I retreat, thinking that Pyr should die after this, but she ends up in the tavern with nothing .
The next turn, I hole up in a dungeon town near the enemy capital, planning to wait 2 more days and buy bulls (from the capital, portals in the dungeon, and the rebuilt native town), everything else, and attack again. Both of us replenished mana, and I didn’t account for the fact that Pyr, who had been bought back, could reach me, but as it turned out, she could with boots and gloves.
My army: 20 greater bulls, 3 regular ones, a pair of lizardmen, a pair of gnolls, and a greater wyvern.
Enemy army: 2 devils, 30 imps, and 3 greater demons.
On the very first turn, I cast death wave, which wipes out everything except 2 devils. Vova summons elementals, I finish off the devils, I get doused with rain, and then both of us disconnect! :smile21:
In theory, both heroes should have died, so we decided to end in a draw and agreed that the second game would be decisive.
Thanks for the game, it was very interesting!
