In the Empire, Wood Elves refer to various Clans of elves inhabiting the forests of Western Valenwood. They call themselves "Bosmer" or "the sap-folk." Bosmer disregard the formal traditions of Aldmeri high culture, preferring a romantic existence in harmony with nature – the land, the forests, and the wild beasts. They are light of body and quick of mind; their natural agility and curiosity make Wood Elves excellent scouts, agents, and thieves. But above all, they are famous for their skill with bows – there are no more skilled archers in all of Tamriel.

The Tamriel Empire includes not only the mainland of Tamriel, but also the Summerset Isles, as well as the islands of Vvardenfell and Solstheim. That's all.
