Yes, 3 heroes is already a classic! But technology and graphics are slowly taking over! The 5th game is much more beautiful!

Which units do you focus on in your army?
What kind of cheaters are they! Is everything done according to the rules? And do you think where the dead from the battlefield go? So be glad that not all units turn into skeletons (by the way, in the 3rd game, you could even resurrect vampires), but here only skeletons.
I recently fought against royal griffins, and they flew away every turn - they decimated half the army - that's what I call cheating: there's no unit, but then it hits like thunder, and you suddenly find yourself short of hundreds of skeletons...
It takes a while to gather 10,000 skeletons... I managed to get a maximum of 5,000, but my opponent already had 25 Black Dragons:).
And those griffins were neutral – therefore, without artifacts. Griffins have this feature: they fly up, and you wait, wondering where this beast will land. There were no other creatures in that battle besides the griffins. Imagine the scene: an army of one color stands on the right, and there's nothing else:)! And what do you do?
Firstly, the technology isn't the most important thing. Heroes 2, 3, 4, and 1 also look good, even though their engines are outdated, and IMHO, they are more interesting than the fifth installment, which I find boring!
I don't like the undead – they're cheaters...

Well, you said that Heroes 1 and 2 are simply morally outdated:p! And the fourth one was just a big failure:mad: :mad: :mad:!
I don't want to argue, but I think you're wrong... Many people enjoy playing HMM2 and HMM1.
I don't know about HMM1, but tournaments are still held for HMM2. (one was held on our site not long ago)
And believe me, we play Heroes 1 and 2 not because we don't have other versions of Heroes... we just like them... and we don't forget the classics... there are things that don't become morally outdated; they sometimes evoke a strong sense of nostalgia.
I don't know about others, but I started my acquaintance with the world of M&M with Heroes 2, and I still like them...
I also started playing Heroes with the second part; I keep them on my computer as a memory of the past. Maybe I just played them too much for many years! What do you think about Heroes 4?
What else is there to think about? I play them. I like them...
I agree that there are many controversial ideas, but I fully agree with those who say that despite all its uniqueness, it is a full-fledged game in the HMM series (for me, it is actually second only to the 5th installment in terms of my favorite...).
I don't really like Heroes 4; it gets boring quickly, and the balance is off!
The balance there is indeed a bit off, but not in favor of any particular faction, but rather in terms of hero development. The advantage of melee units over magic units is noticeable :o
and the factions are roughly balanced.
What I like about it is the hero progression system... I think it was the basis for the progression system in Heroes 5 :)...
