I find the gargoyles amusing; they've become less traditional and more magical. As for my least favorite castle, the Rangers, I couldn't stand all the pretentious dialogue in the campaign, along with the voice acting (I had to turn it off and play without sound). And the castle itself has too many weak points; if you attack them, everything falls apart.
P.S. I hope the moderators will simply move all these discussions about the appearance of the Academy faction, rather than letting them derail the thread. 8))

Necropolis factions are incredibly annoying, and I don't like Heroes 5 in general.

Yes, Heroes 3 is already a classic! But technology and graphics are slowly taking over! Heroes 5 is much more beautiful!

Which units do you focus on in your army?

I don't like Mages the most. Their gremlins look beautiful only on the surface (I like the jingling of bells and the twitching of ears); gargoyles are completely useless, and the attack with a tombstone looks especially strange (why do skeletons take damage from a tombstone???); only golems and archer mages are good; genies are easily defeated, as if they were level 2-3, and you can't predict their spells (they cast the most idiotic spells); only level 6 is more or less decent; titans are very poorly drawn. So, from the entire castle, I would keep archer mages (although they act very, very slowly - they are almost like emaciated people...) and rakshasas.
